    And it gets better.
Masterpart are out of stock of the motor for at least 14 days. I have one customer who is now extremely peed off. If they want it quicker they have to pay extra for the part if I go elsewhere 😥 .
Losing confidence in a supplier big time what with the website and phones fiasco a few weeks ago, not to mention a lot of things i try to order are out of stock 😕 .

    Re: white goods repairer

I’ve been a member of UKW for seven years now and have nothing but praise for the site, the founders and a lot of the people who post invaluable information, whether appliance or business related.
I for one would have floundered without UKW help.
Repairs@ I don’t get work from but why should there be a problem with a c.o.p as if the call has come through repairs@ you are also an ambassador for the site in the customers eyes, as well as your own business. Most of it is just common sense business practice.
ISE is a breath of fresh air as its all in our favour and good rates for any repairs.

    Whew 😀 thanks Gents.
I’ve had this disc for months and had to fire up my old XP PC to get the disc working. Re-installed it on my lappy again after this new thread and right clicked on the prog. in the start up menu, opened as administrator and it loaded, finally 😀 😀 .

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

Have had a similar one recently but not from a sale. Old dear complaining of Hoover wm no spin. Every time I get there the spin selector is at no spin. She ‘s adamant that she returns it after every wash. Been out three times and not charged as its on my home route. Last but one time the daughter leaves a terse message to ring her once the problem is sorted so I told her the story as it was and that I don’t think the machine is at fault. She agreed and said she thought she was geting forgetful, so I put it to her the next time the old dear complained of no spin go out and check it themselves rather than leaving it to an engineer, as it was begining to cost money which would be billed eventually.
Two weeks later son in law rings to complain of no spin, reminded him of the scenario and the cost and he decided to have a look himself which the lazy get decided to do 😉 .
No calls from her or son in law for four months 😉 .

    Had one of these yesterday.
Ended up being a write off, as the circ pump rubber hose had been leaking :rolls: and been spraying over the heater for a while causing it to short to earth.
Motor, heater and a possible board fault as it was also giving F1 code intermittently 🙁 .
Usually a toothbrush job though 😉

Many years ago Hotpoint used to have these as a service spare called a dedshete (dead sheet) kit if I recall. Don’t know if they still have them though (even though they probably need them 😉 ).

    Re: Answer the phone Masterpart!

Never been a problem in the past (apart from the ‘its your responsibility if it gets lost/ damaged’ warning) for small sinlg items when the customer can’t wait. Just call it ‘fast tracking’ the part and charge the postage back to them 😉 .
……When you can get through on the phone. :rolls:
Then again it is holiday time.
