how long had the machine been running before it went bang? and was it full or empty of water?
and also has it been quite noisy for a while?
the more details the better help we can give:)DDSDDS
ParticipantRe: hnf 2137
thanks martin i have checked the board and it looks fine, also a m8 gave me one he had from a scrap machine he assures me was scrapped for bearing fault, so the board should be fine but with that i get the same problem.
turn on and door lock light lights up but door does not lock, select program then start if i am lucky some water may enter the tub briefly then stop.
then start light and prewash light flash.
i have eliminated the pump, motor, valve, module and the door lock all i have left is the timer, which i dont have one to try but upon inspection seems fine, and the pressure switch which does have a wire running from the door lock to it so fingers crossed.
any more thoughts would be appreciated.
is the light flashing an error code do we know?
if i figure it out in the mean time i will let you all know:):)DDSDDS

ParticipantRe: Banging noise on spin, Hoover Performa 1100
i can recommend a good scrap yard for you 🙁
if the block has cracked then more than likely so has the tub where it is attached, or at least the brackets holding it on.
if it is just the block you may be able to get an old one from a local independat if you are very lucky and ask nicely but it is doubtful that you can easily replace it.
i hear ise washers are supposedly very good;)DDSDDS
ParticipantRe: wma34 flashing light???
does your machine ever make it into a spin and if so is it noisy?
also does it work if you put it on a spin only cycle?
and is the machine draining quickly enough a blocked pump will cause the machine to empty slowly and can throw up this faultDDSDDS
ParticipantRe: Plz help! I’m a washing machine newbie!
Dos??
no ones just drys on its own and the other just requires the turning down off the water pressure to the machine usually taps are behind the machine or in a cupboard next to it.
that ok for you mwnwoer
🙂 😆DDSDDS
ParticipantRe: Plz help! I’m a washing machine newbie!
i have a few calls to leaking washers just after delivery that just clear up on their own, i put it down to water spilt during the connection.
the other main possibility i would suspect is high water pressure

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
I went to a lovely ladies house about 4 weeks ago, she was pleasant, gave me a tissue for the sweat pissing off my forhead (the machine was tight to get out and the floor had warped nearly giving me an anurism lol)
gave me a cuppa dead pleasant.
it was a htp wm52 and it was not spinning so i fitted her some brushes charged her my fee and left leaving her a pile of business cards at her request to pass out to her friends and family.
she even called my office to thank us, dear sweet lady.:)
TODAY she rang in to tell me that it was not working “again” and that today the machine just fills and fills till water comes out of the soap box, bearing in mind she has used it twice a day for 4 weeks since my last visit.after booking her down for a call the following morning and just about to hang up she says “i wont have to pay for this will i?”
to which i reply of course. then the arguement ensues
you only fixed it a month ago its still under guarantee
no luv your brushes are
blah blah blah
used the metaphor if you take your car to the garage for a tyre you dont go back 4 weeks later and expect a new clutch do you.
after about 15 minutes of this nice banter she threatened to tell the papers (headline news i know)
threatened to take me to trading standards and demanded a refund of the orignal repair .
and is also going to tell everyone she knows how bad a company we are.
i just know i have not heard the end of this.
forget to take your pills today madam 😈DDSDDS
ParticipantRe: Hoover CA 320 Special Edition
have you tried turning the water off at the red and blue inlet taps.
if not try this to determine which valve is at fault(it is only generally one at a time) if you discover which valve it is then the repair is quite straight forward, providing you can et the lid off and the part is readily available.
mains off before playing though 🙂if you have any difficulties you can get an engineer through this site

ParticipantRe: Indesit WIDL 126 – funny noise
SQUEAKS on a washer can be caused by many many things it can be a carbon build up where the belt runs on the pulley, it can be a bearing issue, it can be a foreign object in the drum or even (I HAVE SEEN THIS IN THE HTP WD 60 SERIES) a problem with the bearing water seal.
does it always make the noise?
is it always when the machine is turning?
does it sound linked to movement of the drum?
and does it do it if you turn the drum by hand?
let me know and if i can i will help you to diagnose your faultDDSDDS
ParticipantRe: indesit w143 10 flashes
