Normally, if it goes through the programme without heating it’s either the NTC or the PCB (either hardware failure or software scrambled). Check the pcb for burning and / or dry joints.

It is a Haier, I was unfortunate to be sent to one these. Crap copy of Merloni machine. Can’t remember what lights were flashing but it was a faulty tube heater.

Unfortunately it only comes as part of the water matrix.
Never had to replace one though, always been a case of clean the contacts, tighten the plug and away it goes bar one where it was fed from a well. Worked ok in workshop but not in customers house.

It’s a whirlpool in disguise. Remove the mesh filter and check that the black grid (pressure switch) isn’t gunged up.

Depending on the age of your machine it may be that the only error code shown to the user is a single flash.
Full model and serial numbers are required to identify the exact machine.

Contacting retailer at the moment as have been advised that under the “sale of goods act 1979” domestic appliances must be “satisfactory and durable” (Test case – 3 year term).
Has anyone else had this problem in such a young appliance?
Whirlpool customer service – only thing i can say is – they are good at getting you off the phone and only wanting you to book a service call.

There’s another 12 digit number after the one above, can you post that one too as I suspect your machine is older than you think.

If CDA will come out and fix it for £69.95 then that’s gotta be a better deal than buying the parts and doing it yourself.

Sold recently to private investors for £1 plus the debts, if I remember correctly.

I’d check the part number of the one you got. I fitted one not long ago and it still had the filter light, mind you could be old stock.

Two slightly angled screws at the rear of the control panel, take these out, pull the control panel forward slightly and lift the front up.
Unplug the 3 wire plug between top and case, remove the two large clips and lift the cabinet off.

    Bit of a guess here.
Machine is older than week 30 2003 and you’ve not changed the rear board.
If it’s older then you need to change both boards as the electronics changed and they are not compatible.

Normally it’s the flowmeter. Unplug, clean the connection, tighten the plug and plug it back on. Works 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time.

I’ve never been told not to post on here, however, as with any company, we’re not allowed to pass on any company sensitive information.

I can tell you that one of my workmates from South Wales (West) has just gone on the Electricians NVQ course this week.

If you look at JIB rates for electricians you’ll find that BG are paying more than the going rate for the skill level of electrician they are looking to employ. Electricians with higher skill levels are, in the main, the ones that are coming into the job and out again.
