Possibly a flooded base. If memory serves me right 8322 is a whirlpool machine with an askoll pump. A flood in the base can short out the wash pump. You’ll have to bail out the inside first then try tipping the machine backward a little and draining the base.

Ta for the info and for the “ps” 😀 Didn’t notice any lights on the options buttons.
I’ll take a chance and order up fill valves and see how it goes.
Have to ask though, why was the pre-rinse light flashing during wash and rinse?

Funnily enough just been to a bosch this morning with the same fault. Checked everything and couldn’t find any other cause. I’ve ordered a new dispenser top for it as it is showing signs of black mould in some of the ports. Can let you know the outcome if I get the job back again.

No Johnny it’s not crap. Indesit really did sign a contract to take work from BG and that’s what you’re having to endure. Indesit wanted the work, if they didn’t they wouldn’t have signed and they wouldn’t have agreed to the terms. What you’re complaining about, your management created.

As to your posts regarding the state of the machine you’ve been to, or every machine as you put it. Does it mean because you’re following a poor or lazy engineer that every BG engineer is the same?
Does it mean that you’re a poor engineer because I’ve had recalls on two Indesit jobs this week? No, it doesn’t. Try reading my post again without your angry anti-BG head on. You’ll see that I actually say that SOME of us do try and do care.

I’m definitely not one of the “can’t be bothered” brigade. I’m not afraid of hard work, and bearing and tub changes aren’t hard work at all.

I’m by no means perfect, I make my mistakes and learn from them. If I can’t figure something out then I come on here and ask for help.

So please, don’t brand all BG engineers as being the same, we’re not. I take pride in my work and I don’t chase bonus.

    Re: British Gas Homecare

Been biting my tongue on this thread for ages.
Have to say, on plumbing and drains cover, taps and washers are excluded. Would have been better if this had been explained to the customer when she phoned the fault in and a call should never have been booked. (Not saying I agree with the T&C’s).
On the repair side, we’re not all productivity chasers. Some of us actually try to do a good job and look after the customer.
Indesit wanted the work off BG and we have to pass the work to them. Not a case of “can’t be bothered to do it”.
As to working for BG, In my case, I had a choice, minimum wage (less than £13k 1-1/2 years ago) with a Whirlpool partner (no longer in business) or more than 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} more with BG. No contest really.

Start light will be flashing. Count the flashes. Error codes are in the sticky at the top of the page. Page 2 if I remember correctly.

Failure of the heater should give an error code. No hot water, no error code and completing the cycle is normally a faulty module.
Test the heater as Penguin suggests, if it checks out as being OK it’s more than likely a faulty module.

For the Whirlpool clips, I use a pair of miniature end cutters to tighten them back up. Loosen them with a terminal driver waggled in the crimped part.

The — display indicates the temperature in the freezer has risen above -11 deg c. Numerous causes for this, anything from main pcb, faulty thermistor(s), defrost problem, gas or compressor problem. Time to call in an engineer to diagnose fault. Click on the repairs@ link to find an engineer near you.

    Re: LG Fridge Freezer

Thanks for that. I did say to technical that I thought they were a defrost sensor and thermal fuse so not far off the mark. Not sure which is which but one of them reads open circuit, and no idea if this is correct or not. They can’t find these parts on the LG schematics / web site.
Would these components be the cause of the problem? I’m pretty sure this machine isn’t doing a defrost hence the build up of ice which eventually blocks cold air to the fridge section.
I hate having to use best guess but I’ve no information whatsover on LG refrigeration so no way of getting part numbers myself, other than asking here 🙂

    Thanks

Faulty pump at worst or something in the pump at best.
Power off if you’re going to have a look yourself.

Not sure about that Dave, if I’m reading it right the dishwasher is full of water. It should abort and empty on any error. Blockage is my guess.
