Have had this on few of the newer machines lately. Changing the NTC cured it.

There are three stats on this machine. Two are on the heater assembly and there’s another one on the exhaust ducting. Any one of these can stop it heating. UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

The crystaline deposits are particles of food. Remove both spray arms, clean out the filters then put the machine on rinse without refitting the spray arms. Make sure the jets are not blocked on the spray arms, the end holes are used to propel the arms. The machine doesn’t use a lot of rinse aid each wash.
You’ll have to continually pick the food particles out of the spray arms for a while until the whole system is cleaned out.
    Hope this helps.

Humming and buzzing noises? Would this be the pump noise that you’re referring to?
First thoughts here, flooded base. Switch it off, pull it out and tip it back slightly. See if any water runs out the back corners. If it does, keep it tilted slightly until it stops. Switch it on and see if it takes in water.

Not really up to speed on Indesit but once every 10 seconds might correspond to A01. Leak or overfilling, most likely water in the base. Turn the power off first. Pull the machine out, tip it back slightly and see if water drains from the base.
If it does, keep it tipped till the water stops. With a bit of luck it won’t have shorted the wash pump and it should work again. You’ll have to check that it’s not leaking though.

Emm, It really sounds to me as though food stuff has got into the system. Check the spray arms for blockages. I get these deposits all the time because my kids are too lazy to clean the food off their plates before putting them in the dishwasher. I’d prefer it if they actually rinsed them first, but there’s no telling kids.
Anyway, gotta go now, go the dishwasher to clean out again because we’re getting the “sandy” deposits again.

From today’s workload, appears that we’re getting the work via D&G.

Off the top of me head, I don’t think this one gives error codes nor is there a diagnostic program for it. I can check the service manual if you want but as far as I remember the service manual for this model only shows the wash programs, some tech data and parts lists.
For what it’s worth, I agree with Dave and Martin, sounds like the motor is burned out.

Yep. Got told at work today that we’ve taken on new contracts to do the work that Service Force were doing. Now looking forward (not) to loads of zanussi tub changes.

Check your drain hose, if it goes onto a spigot under the sink lift it as high as possible so you can’t get drainage back from the sink.

    Hiya,
I’ve read this one several times now and from what you describe I’m thinking you may have a faulty programme module.
Best bet here would be to have an engineer check it out.
Sorry, not a lot of help to you on this one.

Do you have rinse aid in the machine?
If so, this can be adding to the problem.
(One manufacturer told us on a training course, if a customer is using tablets, tell them to get rinse aid and powder as they don’t rate 3 in 1 tablets. There was complete silence when I asked why they gave a sample of tablets in every dishwasher they sell).
Anyways, if you do have rinse aid in the machine, turn it to it’s lowest setting and consider changing your tablets.

Re: Mildew Smell in a washer drier

    Hiya,
First thing that springs to my mind……….
With no detergent or clothes in the machine do a couple of boil washes. (no need to do the rinses and spins).
With machines washing at lower temperatures scum accumulates in the outer tubs, this begins to rot and smell.
Worth a try…. if it cures it then I suggest you do this on a regular basis.

    Re: Zanussi dishwasher DES959W AL5

If you turn the power and water off, disconnect the water inlet pipe then reconnect everything it should then take in water. If it does it indicates a blockage in the system somewhere. (It will stop taking in water again if there is a blockage).
