ModeratorRe: No water to bottom spray arm…any advice eplease
dont know that model at all but as it has a valve it probably means it has a half load setting, has the half load been set accidently?

Dont blame them though, customer abuse and atitiude is reaching the point where I am thinking of doing the same, for new customers at least. At least then they might be arsed to stay in for us.

Cannot tell from your post if you replaced the pressure (water indicator) switch or not, often the cause of this problem.

ModeratorRe: Smeg Dishwasher DWF612WH
Although its nowhere near the place where you said the sound is coming from, it does sound like the circulation pump is not running and just humming instead. Could be either a siezed pump (expensive to repair) or a failed capacitor which is bolted to the circulation pump motor (cheap to repair but difficult to access and can only really test by replacement). make sure you unplug if you do take a look but would advise a smeg experienced engineer take a look.

ModeratorRe: Can I Just Say?
Yes, was suggested a while back but probably too soon then, have warmed to him since though. No objections, would have liked to meet the guy first mind, think he is trying to come to next meeting?

ModeratorRe: Miele G 646
possibly you have had a leak into the tray that covers the bottom, this operates a float which may bring on the pump and lights. Would need to identify where the leak is coming from which is no easy task on one of those.

Moderatorhelo_75 wrote:yup, cut out the filter, and snip the wire to the valve, its the only answer
thanks to both of you for the replys, do you really mean to cut the valve wire?

ModeratorRe: Asko WM110
should be a wiring diagram tucked in the top near the timer…… think that one may have a combined motor….uses induction for wash and brushes for spin…forgive if I am wrong, doing it from memory!
