I think if anyone here were called to repair that machine, it would be repaired ❗ we all have a bit of plastic water protection lying around our vans dont we + a few tie wraps. I cannot believe a machine could be written off for the sake of that piece.

Thats probably an easy one, check that the hot and cold hoses are on correctly. Sounds like they are reversed. And, no your washing should not be hot at the end of a wash having had several rinses in cold water.

Re: WVF2000 Bosch Washer Dryer Problems

I think the moral is not to turn a machine on its back unless absolutley nessesarry.

    LeeJGold wrote:Hi

Could anyone offer some advice to the following problems:

I recently replaced the rubber door seal on my WVF2000 washer dryer. To do so, I turned the machine on its back and removed the front of the casing to get access to the jubliee clips. When I reassembled the machine I found the following had occured:

    1. The machine when spinning appears to have gone out of ballance shaking like mad. Have checked the springs and dampers, but appear fine.

    >Have you loosened a weight to fit that seal? Is it tight? Is the machine level, adjust the feet is not.

    2. The dryer only gets hot, but the cloths are warm and damp when removed. This was working fine before the replacement of the seal. (I am just going to check I have the hoses on the correct way round as well)

    >Check it is taking in water during the dry cycle and yes it should be cold water. Maybe tipping the machine has pulled some wires of the solonoid valve?
    3. The wash timer appears to get stuck on some settings.

    >Ditto above regarding wires off, check also the wash heater connections and that the tub hasnt smashed a bit off the timer/control unit.

Would be most grateful for any advice received.

    Regards

Make sure it is all unplugged before carrying out any work.

Depending on where you are, I am sure your local repairer could carry out a little mod to cure this cheaply, assuming you dont actualy want the clock working.

could always try filling it with salt 😉
cannot imagine a problem with that would cause any fault other than the salt indicator light being on or off all the time…. but there again it is a Servoloni so anything could happen.

Re: ‘No Call Out Charge’ beware!!!

I started sending out a SAE with reminders and invoices and the response has been amazing. It seems the majority of non payers are not doing it not becuase they dont want to pay more that they read the letter/invoice and put it to one side, till they buy a stamp etc. It costs me the price of a stamp but its well worth it , I think anyway.
Cannot beat payment up front though.

Re: candy alise 105 changing bearings

I definatly remember the late Mel Barff explaining that the water was for the reason Martin said, as, if it wasnt constantly replenished the water in the u bend would evaporate or even be may have been lost altogether during a violent spin. and steam would emerge from there. The other water in the condenser would spray down then be collected by a small lip on the condenser tub seal whcih promoted capilary action inside the tub. Older verions didnt have this lip (Or when serviced, too much silicon/debor would seal the slot) and often the water splashed through the holes in the drum and made the washing wet again.
    Good old days!

Seeing that I drive a cirtroen MPV that sort of driving is nigh on impossible as I cannot turn of the traction control, not to mention the front wheel drive. Sad to say the Dodge truck is now gone, (wife couldnt park it).
That car in that clip though is a Dodge Charger which has been re launched in the states, a modern version that is. TTTT its a bit fuggly!
