Looks good to customers when you get your laptop out and plug it in to their washing machine for 20 minutes, little do they know you are playing the penguin splatt game 😆

    Re: Miele dump valve

Just to conclude this thread, I today fitted a new valve motor handle and held my breath waiting for it to break, but it didnt. It really does seem that the motor jams itself up as the handle hits against its stop until the reverse gears kick in. Its an odd system and I guess if you have not seen one none of this makes sense.
Another thing, I tested this on the ‘sluice cycle’ but then had a scare as I couldnt cancel the prog once started, even turning off at the mains wouldnt do it and I really thought I had a pcb problem but I luckily found the instruction book (this machine is in a nut house) and discovered that this is the ONLY programme that cannot be stopped or advanced once started as “per government health department guidlines!” Trust me to choose that one.

By ‘putrid’ do you just mean plasticy tasting water? Sounds like you just need a couple of check valves fitted available at any diy store and easy for a plumber to fit.

    3 of them are:89 9661 32 05-91/4 at £34.52 while the fourth
is:89 9661 32 06-21/9 same price. Dont know of alternative off hand, have to think about mounting and knob shaft sizes. Perhaps if you get the make and any numbers of the regs themselves it may be poss to find an alternative.

Not sute about this ‘special coating’ but have you tried a scraper as used on ceramic hobs. Basicly a blade with a handle which is very effective on hobs.

    Re: beko fridge freezer

Assuming you have fitted it correctly, especially taking care with the capilary pipe and making sure it is fitted exacly as the old one was, its a system fault, Dave. Not easy to id. Basicly for whatever reason the frost line is never reaching where the end of the thermostat phial is hence the fridge keeps running.
Expert attention required and its even possibly an unrepairable job but, being a Beko, get some quotes first.
It was worth trying the stat though as it was a cheap option and would cure 9 out of 10 faults with your symptoms.

Are you keeping anything unusual in it Jay651? Have you seen the tray overflowing or just guessing that is the case? The tray could be split or the pipe leaking.
There should never be that quantity of water in there.

Take care when removing the old pump as there is a plastic sleeve on the motor shaft, that is not shown on the parts list, which may get discarded with the old pump and cause hours of pain when trying to work out why it is not pumping out.

Done and running, had a big current order ready to go last night, hence the slight panic.
