as a rule, fridges making no noise are cheaper/easier to fix than ones making noises but not cooling so might be worth a look at. If its a basic fridge it may only be a thermostat.

late reply I know, but not sure a SS e will have a timer to hear clicking? Would suggest it is the alternating you valve you can hear and that is where the problem is.

if its -0- then the child lock may be on, hold the start button on for 10 secs or so.

and no doubt afterwards we will get the tales of woe when their fan oven packed up on xmas day, turkey ruined etc……and then you calmly point out the convection setting on their oven that would have done the job perfectly….after the smoke burn off of course.

Heck that looks nasty. You got out though which is the main thing I guess. Hope all goes well with insurers… I know that a lot of our tools we collect over the years are not replaceable.

I know there is a way of removing a shadow topic after some idiot mod forgot to uncheck the box when moving it…….just I cannot remember exactly how.
