Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

as per Martins USA experience, I have added this to our t&c’s, pre pay customer, one sighting of a dog running towards me to say “hello” and I am out the door.

easy to prove if its the valve leaking, just turn the water on and see. Could be nothing more than the water pipe into the ice maker or the plastic funnel being frozen or blocked with something. Could also be a overfilling ice maker, older ones were mechanical and could be adjusted, not that you should ever need to. TBH its a case of getting out there a taking a look

aside from the obvious one? 😮 Have to short out the reed swtich to confirm its a dodgy reed I guess, should think un related to fault unless there is a major pcb issue.

this could be a collapsing pump- heater hose, especially when water is hot part number 758973776, the new one is strengthened with ribs.

part number for the dispenser/ tub hose is 8061628
the thin vent hose to the tub is 8061736
Could try David at ISE as they have access to these although the main hose is not the same as any ISE machine, the vent hose from a W1606.

Not done one of these for years but is it possible to fit the field coils the wrong way round somehow? have a distant memory of such a thing.

the pcb triac is available on its own for that one 00155272 so may be worth a punt.

Small accounts are a complete PITA to operate.

You have the ones that are as good as gold, pay on time and never cause an issue.

Then you have a good chunk that don’t pay on time, you have to send letters, get all nasty and so on just to get paid.

Base is bone dry and have checked the flowmeter reed switch operates with a magnet, and it seems to be pulsing on and off with the water flow.
Disconnecting the flow meter makes no difference.
Have checked all connections are tight and am getting voltage at flowmeter.
    What am I missing please.

have had this in the past, all you can do is trace the flow meter wiring to the pcb, if all ok then its a pcb fault, assuming you can hear the water coming in at a reasonable rate when it is filling.

any idea who makes that one?

if that’s the Hairer one, usually an earthed circ pump locks the module, try unplugging the pump and see if you can set a prog then.

not a great day to be a Spurs fan, loosing Bale (had held out vain hope the deal would collapse at last minute) being far worse than only loosing to the Arse away by a goal. Worse though is the fact that we have not yet scored a league goal in open play.

Heater is connected straight off the terminal block via a relay. Need to check if there is a feed to low voltage/ current side of the relay, if so then its the relay at fault, if not then most likely its the electronic.
Would make sure it is not heating first though, get a lot of phantom no heat calls these days…..
