    non professionals please note

microwaves use very high voltages (5000v) you can get a shock from an electric socket and live but not from a 5000v microwave

if you dont know DONT TOUCH !!

if its under 5 years old get hotpoint to do it (5 year part warranty)

if its over scrap it as you will fix the tub and the electronics might fail

Re: creda C361E clock not comig on

    just guessing here but

assuming old element is open circuit then the live wire to the element is not held at neutral so can float and may have enough leakage to power a clock. when you add the new element it hold the wire down. i would bet if you removed 1 wire from the new element the clock may come on

sounds like you may have blown a safety stat or the like

first you have to find out if the element is being turned on and the fan is running

Re: WHITE KNIGHT C44AW HEATER PROBLEM

    short answer no

if the safety button tripped its normally poor air flow ( kinked or blocked hose/ blocked filter)

these elements just fail this way

    fairly simple fix.
    unplug, take lid off
the rear has to come off so the wires from the casing to the rear plate have to be disconnected. take photos, draw diags but you musk know where to put them back

then lay machine on its face and just remove the top section of the rear

swop element ( taking note of the orientation of the element holders)

    and re assemble

doing a search found a post with a similar subject

    viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3197

but digging a bit more found possible smeg part number SMG818730625

have posted a picture from Qualtex and they are showing stock

the only thing I can be sure of is the picture actual or generic you would have to order and check or ask them. checked connect and they say it 90 degrees so I don’t know

    hope this helps

water metering no. Water would have to flow so prog could detect failure

assuming no fault codes as it just restarts

do the lights on the prog go dimmer as it restarts ?

if yes or even as a try look inside timer pcb to see what sort of power supply it has. if its a capacitor style using a large 1uF of 1.5uF then change it and see what happens

sound like the relay on the main board that controls the element might have stuck closed. if not its a complete new board
