Re: zanussi – bottom reservoir and condensate drain kits

to use a drain the unit has to have a pump or the drain has to be at floor level
ZDC37202W does not have a pump

    Re: Siemens american fridge freezer

most likely thermistor but its one of those problems where you suck it and see.
siemans tech info is sparse. what you need to know is the resistance of the thermistor at a given temp and be able to measure the temp and resistance to see if it is in spec
dont know complete Enr and i dont do a lot of fridges so could not look up thermistor but if its cheap enough change it
if they use more than 1 of these thermistors in the same unit you could compare them

    hope it halps

    Re: emw1000 pcb blown resistor

if the resistor has blown then the switch mode power supply chip will have done as well
these type of resistors are normally is about 100 ohm but are a fusible type. this resistor is made to blow if chip fails and causes a short

chip will be 7 or 8 leg chip near a small transformer.

dont do a lot of fridges but all units have a drain to let the water run out into a tray at the rear during defrost
    is it blocked ?

Re: INDESIT IDC75 UK BELT TENSION PULLEY WHEEL

fan cover is just clicked in. you will need to prise where it locks but it should slip out
after its out use pliers to remove the clip from the fan and ease it off

you can then access bolts and remove pulley

to replace only partly put in the furthest bolt, put belt over pulley and use it asd a lever to tention belt. then put the second bolt in and tighten both. spin drum by hand to straightan belt

fan cover can be tricky to get back

Re: de deitrich cooker extractor hood motor not working

    yes sorry

the motor will have 4 or so wires. 1 common and to get the speed they switch to one of the others. my guess is the common one is open circuit

Re: de deitrich cooker extractor hood motor not working

on most hoods there is common wire normally a neutral that will have an internal fuse in case of overheat

you should get a reading from any wire to any wire but one wire (common) will give a higher resistance

Re: Consumer rights for out of warranty premium washing mach

any action should be directed at the retailer who sold you the appliance. the argument goes something along the lines of “not of merchantable quality” or “not fit for purpose”
its based on the idea that a resonable person should expect a machine of this type to last longer

but beware if upon inspection if there is a coin or something in the pump it will be deemed to be your fault

i suggest you look on this forum for a local engineer and get a quote from him. it will be a lot cheaper than £90 call out
