capacitors that work on dc most of the time have a polarity but capacitors that work on ac dont as the voltage goes + and –

as with most faults of this type check the brushes first ( if its a brush motor not sure without looking it up )

from the sound of this i would quit

buy a bosch but steer clear of the cheapest model look to pay around £350. you will get a 2 year warranty with all bosch products
if you have a bigger budget buy a miele nothing better

Re: Beko DW686 Not heating the water

if you get 240v to the heater for 5 secs it might only be a back feed as the machine fills.
according to fault finding on this machine you have checked the lot

sounds like a main board fault but you say you have checked the relay but relays fail as thay are a mechanical device

have you checked wiring as wires can break ?

also during testing make sure you select a quick programme and listen for the dispenser opening then the unit should start heating

if it is a capacitor power supply it does not look blown

switch mode is a type of power supply used to power the pcb,s in machines

if you post a picture of the component side of the board will try to help

    Re: AEG F88060Vi0V

my first question would be which service engineer? ( who is service point ? ) and does he know there is a service bulletin connected with this problem (i20) on your model

i10 fault is a fill fault so may not be connected but if you check inside unit and see how much water is coming in during fill. if it is filling ok then going into fault a blocked pressure chamber or faulty pressure switch could answer both problems
