Re: Miele "AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENING FAULT"

would strip and have a close look at the lock

any fault with miele that needs parts is expensive. just rang for an oulet hose and got a quote over £50 so a door lock aint going to be cheap

if you set it to 200 degrees and you get 200 degrees plus or minus a bit then she needs to learn to cook.
over time you get used to an oven stat but if you change it you have got to learn to use it all over again. suggest you give her an oven thermometer as they aree very cheap then she can see the temp is correct and cant blame you

    still could be door lock

they can be tested but you have to know how

if they are cheap you could replace but its not certain it will cure it

    does the door lock ?

    if no try this
    leave door open
    select programme and press start
    then close door

does not always work but the jolt of closing the door after activation can sometimes get it to go
if it works change lock if it does not could still be lock

Re: Leisure HJA5100 – Clock fault

2 wires on the right over the white relay ( double brown and white ) join them together

you need a connector like the one pictured so you dont have to cut the wire and just put them on the same terminal

also means if you change your mind about the clock all will go back easily

take a picture of the back of the clock clearly showing wiring

if i can see the relay i will tell you which ones to short

would need a sample model to be certain but a lot of dc modules are no more than an inductor and a bridge rectifier to supply the motor with DC

I would need the full model no to look anything up but make sure you are selecting the correct programme
a lot of dishwashers do a cold first rinse so select a quick programm and listen for the soap draw to open then you know it should heat

    board is this one

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/81165019 … board-9164

it is unlikely 2 elements go down at the same time
look at the board and look for bad solder joints first

as far as i know this board is to allow 1 thermostat to control 2 oven elements. so it should no affect the grill

take a good look at the oven selector switch for bad contacts
