    if memory serves me this is an integrated machine and the buttons you talk about is more of a plastic membrane with bubbles on it one for each programme

    i have had it before these buttons fail they use a switching system which in laymans terms means if 1 track breaks more than 1 switch will stop working

    you can get them on their own but some of the prices quoted for them is silly so dig around i think i got the last one from masterpart

    from what i can see this is a standard hydraulic stat therefore
    if the red light is on the element is powered

    in short change the element

    as a check you could turn it on and check for L + N at the heater

    Klixon is a name i associate with thermal cut outs on fridge freezers etc

    Motor triac short-circuited
    (the washing pump runs uncontrolled at
    maximum speed)

    have got service manual for /01 model if it helps

    as far vas i know should not be a problem

    Qualtex label it as programmed control pcb

    so should be plug and play and is very easy to remove

    dont know about later electronic types but early ones where mechanical

    and this was an adjustment so when you put a coin it it pushed the timer unit the futher it was pushed the more time per coin

    you could ring JLA on 0800 7838354 and see if you can get a user manual as this will tell the user how to alter price

    you may need to find the make of the coin mech fitted as these were not always fitted as standard
