ModeratorRe: Bosch WVT1260
to my knowledge you are not going to stop all steam escaping from any washer dryer
am assuming its a cold kitchen so steam is more visablebut if you look at the mechanics all are a closed circuit air goes round in a circle. if any escapes then more air has to go in otherwise you would get a vacuum. since i assume there is no way the air can get in other than the way it is getting out then then the drum is breathing
i would talk to bosch customer services as if you are an owner see whet they say
hope this helps

ModeratorRe: Miele W504 spinning full speed
before you scrap main board look for motor triac and see if it is short circuit
or ring EMW and see if they will look for you be a lot cheaper for this and more profitable as you can charge extra money for board repair

ModeratorRe: White Knight 767C – condenser drier – water in fan chamb
have used hair dryer on heaters to dry before today
long shot is the td in a cold draught so water could condense in heater box
if not then it is strip down an likely as not you will have to break rear fan to remove

ModeratorRe: WD61 occasionally tears clothes.
this is not a new problem with the washer dryers hotpoint had a problem with the 9900 series tearing washing
i found some customers had probs others did not but the trick seem to be getting the load right. put too much in and the clothes stay outside drum during spin when there should be room for them to shrink back inside
hope this helps
Dave
ps when the 9900 series had problem watchdog had a go at them till they eventually paid up for all damaged washing

ModeratorRe: Bosch SGV43A03GB/42 dishwasher – strange fault.
sounds a bit like a faulty triac on the pcb
just needs to leak a small amount of current to trip inlet valves
i would trace the triac and try replacing it
