dont even think about a new board too much hassle
send board to EMW they will test and if faulty will repair
adv if you make a mistake and the board is not faulty it does not cost the earth

ModeratorRe: SIMPLE PCB REPAIR TIPS
quite a few dishwashers use a 1uf or 1.5uf capacitor as a power supply for the pcb
when these go it is like having a low batteryfault you expect dishwasher turns on set prog
prog starts and dishwasher fills as soon as main motors switches on it all goes pear shaped (ie not enough power to hold in motor relay )similar problem on the old hoover tumble dryers small pcb that start td
replace small cap (think its .22uf from memory) board repaired repair cost less than 50pcan supply part suppier info if reqd

ModeratorRe: Bendix Cooker CSI6001 Main Stat Mod Directions Prob?
only diag i have for this model shows a 4 tag timer
live
neutraland two for switch contacts
from assumption any wire that goes to the timer from a stat will be picking up a live switch wire for the automatics this is wher i would look
you could check by installing stat get you meter between suspect wire and neutral main term. turn stat on and look at resistances if around 20 to 30 ohm will be ok
cna send you diag but may not help if you have a 6 tag timer
hope this helps

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint TDL 34P Static Shock
static shock are always a problem to pin down especially if the customer thinks its a 230v shock
dont normally get too many problems in winter
try using fabric conditioner its antistatic
nylon carpets can be a problem if you think this is it wet it with fabric conditioner and water mix in a hand spray that should sort itDave

i remember going to an 18 series hotpoint and the customer had to tell me how to get into the front panel
was that long ago when hotpoint used a module and pmc to control the motor
we all have our bad day where we cant see the wood for the trees
