main reversal should not affect if

i assume the machine does not lock door until you press start

would assume module failure is a fair diagnosis check for earth leakage just in case

ring up tony at emw if it is a known fault he will have seen it

    Re: decisions decisions

i am fast coming to the conclusion this trade is doomed have struggled for years and dont know how much more i can take with cheaper macnines it means throw away dont repair and the manufacturers will replace u/g faults because it is cheaper so stay as you are if you get bigger you are into vat and all that happens is you make less profit as all the customer cares about is the cost

Dave (clapped out van and run down shop )

    Re: Qualtex Ordering Software ???

nice software and still being improved

get the rep to install it

if he is not calling you ring the qualtex sales office and they will push him to call but you need the disk to install as you need all the pictures

once you get used to it you will wonder how you srvived without it you can set markup and you will have an up to date current price and stock position so when you give your customer a price and a delivery day you will know it will arrive

    Re: Neff butterfly oven elements

agree you have to replace it and take it up with your supplier he may stand part of the cost especially if you spend a lot with them

good will from customers brings in new business i have customers all the time expecting a fight to get a problem sorted and when they dont get one it gives them a shock but they remember you and know you will be fair and honest

    hope his helps Dave

Re: Belling format 600X (old one) oven fan

not sure but some of these ovens had an overheat stat mounted by the oven fan motor had one with a bad terminal that heated stat cutting out oven

as i say going from memory so may be wrong but worth a check but fan motor should not cutout if it does it sounds like an overheat stat of some kind

    hope this helps

if it is fusible then if you know wattage no probs to obtain

http://www.rswww.co.uk lists a few of them all different wattages and delivery is very quick highest wattage is 3W

    Re: Wild Shot

dont think the type matters that much but wire wound will take more wattage

its a dropper resistor all it does is burn exess voltage off as heat

dont worry fit a ww i would

    Re: Large Whirlpool American Dryer.

my philosophy has always been reset the stat if it does not trip within a month then its just had a bad day normally either a blocked outlet or condensor or been turned off half way through a cycle when the heater is on
anyway white knight has a manual reset as long as the stat is not damaged in reseting you still have the original protection

on the subject of hotpoint stats if you drill a very small hole with great care between the terminal (and i mean careful and extra slow and careful when it breaks through ) you can reset stat with stiff wire over and over like you could with the early ones

Re: hotpoint ma door wont open

close the door switch on the timer to a programme but do not push the start button

    does the door lock ?

if the door locks without pushing start then is prog panel fault

Re: hotpoint ma door wont open

does the door lock activate before you set the programme

if it does then you have a shorted triac on the main pcb
