Moderatormy next check on this one would be the 240v feed to the inverter
there is a small 2 pin plug on the inverter , a data cable and the leads to the mag
if you disconnect the 2 pin plug, this will disable all high voltage circuits but its always prudent to short mag to earth just in case
then you need to do a volt check on these leads while they are disconnected. you should get a 240v supply as soon as the microwave is energised
beware you are working on microwave circuitry. if the inverter is connected there are lethal voltages present

Moderatortripped RCD or MCB
may have gone with a bang and blown everything if its the MCB
anyway the catch is often at the top of most ovens but if you cant see it all you can do is warn customer of poss damage and take it from there. With a bit of luck you can prise ot the screws to get the oven out but it may damage the unit. Adding a match stalk to the hole will allow you to resecure if its fixed or replaced

Moderatorwe all get days like that lol
almost did a similar thing yesterday. had a dead Beko washer dryer thought D7 failure. undid screws on board and upended machine. was just about to remove board when I thought ” wonder if the socket is live”. Well it wasn’t, the clien did not know the bank of 4 switches controllled various appliances around the kitchen and the switch was off
eventual fault was a button and lint at the sink end of the outlet
came out the job to a parking fine as the ticket had fallen off the dash. have appealed but if i fail its only £25 and its liverpool council so am not fighting a private parking pirateDave

Moderatortry a total defrost and see if it cures it

Moderatorno they are not easy
with a short spring you can use a spring expander pliers but with a longer spring thats not possible. its also difficult if you cant get the front off
my way of doing them is by no means easy
I put spring round as far as i can with the spring at the top. then i insert a screwdriver in one loop of the spring. if you then expand the spring the friction between spring and rubber will stop it moving. then with the other hand work the spring on an inch at a time. the last bit to go on is next to the spring
there is always this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Paxanpax-PL…1&gad_source=1
since panapax is a H T Maddock trade name it may be cheaper going direct

Moderatorif there is a problem its often behind the wall at the back of the freezer. no amount of sunlight will help due to insulation
