ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WDM73A – Concrete block smashed!
obsolete on connect.
theoretically tho it could have sat in either the corner of HP warehouse or a distributors etc and sold 3 years later. ive just cleared a erroneous purchase thats sat around for 2 years in my shop, so it does happen.
also portway had some slimline nat linen d/w not very long ago… where they were uncovered i have no idea!
tbh tho a 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} is a bit crappy. unless theyve also refunded the £106 youve paid them to come out.
if your machine is actually only 2 years old and you have the proof of purchase it would be worth faxing/writing to c/s. at least if you get a 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} discount you could ebay it as BNIB

ParticipantRe: CDA CI330
its a fagor but cda direct were rather cheap the other time i needed something for a range – 0.89+vat each as opposed to connects 4.58 + vat

ParticipantRe: EMW issues
Just like to add another pat on the back for getting a bosch dw pcb fixed for us 🙂
OP was more pure frustration at not getting call backs, but then i was recently told by a customer that they came in bcause they couldnt get thru to us on our number 🙂 so i guess if they had problems maybe emw did too, might leave my mobile no next time i get the A/P
cheers!

ParticipantRe: elux/zan/tbendx 1400 sole motors
already metered all the wiring for continuity between board and motor. turns out we were the 2nd opinion anyway and therefore cust didnt want to prolong what they obv. felt was agony and plumped for a new w/m.
bit annoyed tho as i dont feel ive had enough time to sort/condemn it, but sold fair few of these, so will endeavour to get the the bottom of this, even if it is definitely terminal, just for my own learning.
gonna strip motor down and see if theres anything sus too like aforemetioned loose magnets 🙂
any further suggestions would be amazing – aw1400 agitates, spins in to full speed in diagnostic phase 8 but not in phase 7, cant fathom it unless its pcb. e52 recorded each time diagnostics run thru

ParticipantRe: those nasty w/p pumps which leak from the rubber and…
there isnt one available macineman, i use the rubber found on the whirlpool/servis w/m’s that links the front filter with the rearmounted pump as its just the right diameter to allow for snug fit

ParticipantRe: Bamboozled! Which fridge and freezer?
turk refrigeration if on a budget (hotpoint/beko) or bosch/liebherr for premium spec.
dont touch anything else as £300 would be my min budget for 150×60 tall freezing 🙂
ps most miele refrigeration is same spec/same price or higher spec/higher price than liebherr stock but liebherr are better VFM!

ParticipantRe: Fagor vs Bosch integrated washing machine – advice pleas
Budget is the issue on this, its like comparing a honda to a high spec merc… if you can afford the bosch buy it but compare the fagor to the rest in its price range, id always opt for a fagor. At least they do wash well and have a long comprehensive warranty
