Re: Indesit WD12 UK constantly filling!

A well known fault on these machines. Almost certainly a failure of the main control module, approx cost of module around the £85 mark also needs an eeprom at just over £20.00. If you set it to spin and it starts to fill then your module has borked.

To be honest five years out of one of these is darned good going these days, I had to condemn an 18 month old Indesit two weeks ago. 😥

You are just a tad unlucky, the number you have given is the serial number, the first two digits of which are the date code, that is 39. That number alters every month. At date code 40 a significant modification to the the whole of the (Indesit) heater assembly fitted to this machine took place. You may have a blocked condensor but if you have not had the modified heater box fitted I would strongly advise that you do so. The part number for this modification is a 1605230 heater box assembly. It is around £45.00 + vat. It will be a close call as to whether a local independant engineer would be able to do this repair for less than the Indesit Company labour charge of just under £90.00, all parts are free for five years on these machines.

No wires attached, a small current is passed through the damp clothes and sensed via the sensor and a small copper brush that rubs against the top of the drum. As the clothes dry their resistance increases, this is measured by the control module.

Please read this with regard to wiring diagrams. http://tinyurl.com/o5mq6

5 flashes indicates that the pressure switch is stuck on full or not resetting.

Check the pump filter for any obstructions, does the machine appear to be draining correctly? The fact that it sometimes works after resetting suggests a possible blockage or obstruction to the drain system

Can also be caused by a faulty pressure switch or gunge in the thin pressure hose leading to this switch.

Plug out at all times when you have your hands inside.

I think that ‘on reflection’ I was correct to remove it, if anyone thinks I was wrong then please feel free to reinstate it, there are plenty of places online to discuss such things, this is not one of them. I hope happycacks wife doesn’t get to read his posts, less than 10 but one already mentioning being glad to have to return to a call because the customer was ‘ gorgeous ‘. :rolls:

    Re: On reflection,

Seeing as there only seems to be me around, I am going to pull this one before it gets any replies.

    OP is happycack,

Here is the body of the post, the thread title was Sexual Encounters.

Here’s something that I expect will get 500 visits by within a month (I’ll take the occasional flutter) I was 50 on Christmas Eve and been in the trade for thirty years. Now happily married and perfectly content. Based on complete honesty (And you know what a reputation of honesty we all hold) I’ll run this for a month and tell you if I can beat your storey. If I can’t then I will donate £50.00 to this site and they can give it to whatever charity they see fit. No blagging, no bulls**t, no horlicks and complete animosity. Should make good reading!!!

    Judging left to the moderators.

Its to late to let him know why and I am bloody tired, done ten calls for the second day in succession, booked all Friday and Sat AM, and most of next Tuesday already, sometimes I hate Mr Graham Bell.

    Goodnight.

There was no tech info in the bag, which is unusual if it is required. I think I have an old copy somewhere, will see if I can dig it out.

    Thanks Mark.

EDIT. found the sheet, the reference to linking P1 & S is for appliances fitted with pilot light on single controls, no mention on dual control list. 😕

    Re: hotpoint wd440

The mod is for the later dryer heater box, you just isolate the flushing valve, if machine still has old type heater box with 4 way valve then that is what you need. A much better option although more costly would be to do the dryer box conversion together with a 3 way valve, always assuming the valve outlets point in the correct direction, no 3 way valve listed, only the 4 way one.

Use the search facility and type bereit in the search box. It will bring up 5 or 6 threads that mention bereit. That should give you some idea in case none of the Bosch experts spot this.

    Re: HOTPOINT BWD129 ERROR CODE

Sad fact is that this machine is virtually 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit, thats means it has very ticklish, over complicated electronics that can be a real pain to fault find and cure.

The NTC is the water temp controller, the component may be faulty but that is not common, poor connections, damage to the PCB etc can also give rise to this error and are far more common.

You could easily find a loose or broken connection, you may not find anything obvious though. The Indesit engineers have software that is unavailable to the trade allowing them to do much more in depth diagnostics.

Your call really, if it is just a loose connection, a local engineer would certainly be much cheaper, if it turns out to be the PCB then the manufacturers g/tee is the way to go.

Please be sure to remove the mains plug before you open it up.

most dishwashers work best plumbed to the cold inlet, you may not have enough pressure on your hot supply.

Possible overflow into base. Pull the machine forwards, place a few towels on the floor then tilt it back or to the side. If you get water running out from underneath this confirms an overflow or leak. Using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets can cause this. Fairy Active Bursts with salt if your water is on the hard side should help. You may also have an internal leak, if the fault returns fairly quickly this needs investigating and repairing. Plug out at all times when working on the machine, if you need help then try the link below to see if we have someone who can be of assistance.

After all the fuss over Englands bowling plans being exposed to the world, I can reveal that the Australian bowling plans have also been found. It was on a wash label in Ricky Ponting’s shirt. ‘ Spin, then hang out to dry’ 😆

Mailwasher, it is worth paying the small subscription fee for the paid for version, that links into Spamhaus and several other well known spam logging databases.

Fairly easy to use, well worth taking your time setting up your own rules, then before you open your mail programme, just click on the Mailwasher desktop icon. This will just show you the mail headers but you can actually read the content of the mail as well by double clicking the entry, it flags up 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the spam, you can then browse quickly through the list, set as friend or blacklist any sender, also tick to delete any mail that you know is legitamate but you do not want to bother reading, then just click, ‘Process Mail’ and all the spam plus unwanted messages are deleted from your mail server without getting any where near your PC, you do not download anything you don’t want.

NB, use this link, don’t Google for it, a few imposters use very similar names.
