ModeratorRe: Washing Machine struggling to spin
This machine should have the hybrid control unit, all functions controlled by the one component.
When you have the machine on wash (not spin) with the medium load in, does the drum start to revolve smoothly or does the motor ‘hum’ for a second or so before turning ? If so then it sounds like an armature fault.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint wd71 pcb’s
Door interlock usually blows the control module first. Worth trying replacement control module and new door lock first with your original power board. The two different part numbers suggest that the power modules will not be interchangable. Check closely to see if all the contacts/connectors are the same, or put your good bits in the WD72. 🙂
With the plug removed whilst you are doing so. 😉 :zap:

In that case get a long pozi and get behind fan by pressing down on it and remove that soddin screw 😆 .
When replacing dont bother replacing that top screw as that element aint goin anywhere. Done loads no problem doesnt bend shaft etc 😉PS only seems to jam on the built under double ovens 😕
It was a built under double oven, bear in mind I was fitting a non gen element, the customer is moving to France in three weeks so didn’t want to pay for gen element. If I had left the top screw out the fan would have hit the element, you know how badly formed a large number of pattern elements are 😥iadom

If you take nut and lock washer off then grip shaft 😯 with pliers; turn fan blade at same time round and round and 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time the fan will pull off.Greg 😉

Welcome aboard Reg……..
Chris.
Come on Chris, you are having me on aren’t you. 😆Britain’s first cycling superstar was Reg Harris, five times the World Sprint Champion and the winner of two silver medals in the 1948 Olympics.
The only survivor of a tank attack in the Western Desert in 1940, Harris was discharged as ‘medically unfit’, but the doctors under-estimated his determined character and in 1947 he won the World Amateur Sprint Championships. In 1957, just ten years after his first world title, he retired and became the proud owner of the historic Fallowfield track in Manchester. It was renamed the Harris Stadium. But life was not easy outside the track. So in 1971 he returned to sprint racing. He caused a sensation. He was 51. Losing in the semi-finals of the British Championship didn’t stop him, and in 1974 incredibly, at the age of 54 he won his fifth British Sprint Championship.
Reg’s famous Raleigh bikes are now prized collectors items. Particularly revered is the one owned by cycling history enthusiast Dennis Wright, who proudly demonstrates to us what a fine bike it is. Top cycling promoter Alan Rushton and journalist Roger St Pierre are among those that we hear from.
Twice voted the BBC’s “Sports Personality of the Year”, Harris was debonair, charming, well spoken, and known affectionately as ‘Sir’ Reg. He loved fast cars, race horses and good wine. Such was his profile, the BBC made a film on him, called ‘Maestro’ and this special film is included, for the first time on this video. So sit back and enjoy the life and times of a young lad from Lancashire whose name became famous the world overiadom

ModeratorRe: Hpt 9506 stat
9506 has both traditional control timer & module and also hybrid control unit which only uses a thermistor.
On the earlier timer & module machine the two stage stat is a 40°/50° normally open stat. I have never changed one of these stats. Single 85° stat to the left of heater is normally closed.I can send you a wiring diagram and sequence chart if that will be of any help.
Jim.

ModeratorRe: WM65 Aquarius 1200 spin problem
I have never had a fault in the small potentiometer that controls the variable spin, other than what I call the ‘ half term syndrome’ the grandchildren messing with the controls and turning the knob to the ‘no spin’ setting. 😉 Control unit is the most likely cause, but can be pressure switch on rare occasions.
PS. It would help continuity if you had posted this in your original thread. 😉
Anyway, as a Man Utd fan I don’t think I can be bothered to help you anymore. 😆 8) (only joking)iadom
