ModeratorRe: Hotpoint DWF40 dishwasher error code needed
Lights should be 1:Prewash/ 2:Wash/ 3:Rinses/ 4:Drying.
On model DC28. 2 & 4 flashing is heater/connections/timer relay etc.
I think error code flashes are same on DWF40.

It is always nice when someone posts about the outcome of their problem.
I don’t know about the other tradesmen here but sometimes the really awkward faults can have you reaching for a medicinal nightcap to allow you to sleep. ( not that this was a difficult one). It is nice to know what the fault was, even those of us who are a bit ( a lot ) long in the tooth are still learning, and something new is always around the corner. 🙂
Thanks.
Jim.

Utd did play well but I thought they both marked each others prime players out of the game‘each others prime players’
A few unbiased quotes from todays Daily Telegraph.
” Ferguson’s United totally outclassed Arsenal over normal time and extra time”.
On Viera, “performed as well as anyone in Arsenal’s midfield but was eclipsed by Keane”.
“Ronaldo was mesmeric, not since Humprhey Bogart toyed with Lauren Bacall in the Big Sleep has a Lauren endured such a stressful afternoon”.
On Rooney, ” he embarrassed Cole into the worst tackle of the game”.
It would be difficult to say that United’s defence marked Arsenal’s prime players out of the game, they rarely came near enough.
So if you still think a total of 8 shots to 1 on target and a corner count of 12 to 1 against, is indicative of a team that had ” marked each others prime players out of the game” then you watched a different match. 😉

ModeratorRe: NEW WORLD FAN OVEN ELEMENT
According to Partfinder the elements are obsolete, in fact 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the parts are listed as obsolete. The PF diagram does have ‘Hoover?????’ added to it, seems they are unsure as to its origin. 🙂
It looks like a fairly standard double loop element, perhaps if you took some measurements, somone could come up with a suitable alternative.?

Greg
Do you mean a very even game.??? to quote Arsene Wenger, “the team that played the best football, lost”.
Depending on whose stats you choose Man U had 8/11 shots on target, Arsenal had 1. Some even game.
They did nothing for 120 minutes then scored 5 penalties.
If I was an Arsenal fan I would be really worried if this is to be Wengers ‘ new ‘ tactics for Europe, even in this match they were an abject failure. If you play with a 4-5-1 or even a 4-6-0 as Arsenal did for large parts of the final, then it is obvious that your intention is to be ultra defensive. At this level if you allow the opposition 11 clear shots at goal playing like this then you have put up an awful defensive display.
The fact that the opposition’s forwards failed to take any of the numerous chances does not hide that simple fact.
And as for Henry, how many of the last eight matches against United that Arsenal have lost or drawn ( won none ) did he play in?

You can open the door quite safely. Even when ‘full’ the water level is a couple of inches or cms if you prefer below the lowest door level.

Does an O/C pump, break the inlet valve circuit on these models?
It depends very much on the one vital piece of information missing from your post…..a model number. 😉
Some Hotpoint Washer dryers will fill with an OC pump, strangely enough, they will not cold fill with an OC dryer thermostat on certain models.

Possible heater failure, or heater related wiring/components.

ModeratorRe: door seal
I would go easy on the Fairy liquid on the inner part of the seal. If you are using a genuine replacement it will be coated in a ‘slippy’ substance that makes fitting to the drum and front panel quite easy.
Also take great care when the front panel is off, the exposed metal edges are very sharp.iadom

I get it from a local Qualtex supplier but I don’t know if it’s a Qualtex part. I can find out if anyone’s interested. It’s expensive at about £10 for a 75ml tube.
GeoffQualtex part No: is MIS12 for 75 ml and MIS120 for 300 ml tube.

Indesit (model unknown) purchased 08/2003. Flashing 8 times. They have had someone to look at it, and been told the module is faulty, will cost £150.
He has advised them to let him sell them a Creda machine for £200 plus the Indesit as PX. 🙁Went to this machine this afternoon. Apparently this chap never even pulled the machine out, just switched it on, watched the knob revolve and the neon flash, then told them it was not worth repairing and offered them a new Creda.
In fact the pressure switch had stuck in the closed position, a sharp rap on its side and the machine worked perfectly, changed switch, problem solved. 🙂
When she rang this bloke yesterday to let him know that she would not be taking up his generous offer, he blasted her with a tirade of foul mouthed abuse. 👿
Its a great pity that trading standards are useless at dealing with this type of cowboy whilst prompting action against the likes of Pat-UK.

Chris.
Thats not a cricket bat, its a ‘clicky baa’ No one under 50 will have any idea what I am talking about. 😉
Used to play amateur football for many years but turned to squash almost 30 years ago, still manage 3 or 4 games a week to a decent standard.
The club I play at is Rochdale, Cricket , Lacrosse & Squash club, so I can have my game then relax with a couple of pints and enjoy the cricket. They play in the Central Lancashire league.
Whilst I am an all round sports nut, cricket is my favourite spectator sport, I love a good test match ( TV with TMS of course)

This machine is not very old, why would brushes prevent it from filling or the pump from running?
Will sleep on it now, had a hard game of squash earlier and it takes it toll at my age, must try and cut down to three games a week, and watch more cricket. 😀iadom

No takers then, I have already arranged to go back and check the pump.
I love Italian food, but I cannot express what I think of Italian washers on a public forum. 😉
