Thats what I would have thought, went to one of these this morning and as is often the case it performed perfectly on all tests whilst I stood over it.
The door lock neon is tiny, so I just wondered if one of the option buttons which incorporate larger neons was used ?Inital complaint was of control knob revolving in a similar way to the Indesit control unit when a fault has occured, but I could not reproduce it.

The I link mentioned in post #4, from google, to UK Whitegoods is the same one that gegsy has posted. 😉

I Googled for this model and all I came up with was an Acrobat Document listing all the models and all the units to fit them in so I would guess that it is supplied from something like MFI or similar.
Oh and the only other thing that Google came up with was a link to UKWhitegoods. 🙂
To be honest the way dishwashers control their water levels varies greatly from model to model, even within a single manufacturers range of appliances. Most have some form of pressure switch, but some have timed fills as well. Others have an inlet valve and safety level switch in one unit that can cause similar faults.
I would guess that someone will know who actually produced this machine and be able to advise you further.
Is there anything on the rating plate such as place of manufacturer etc that could be a clue.
Edit..Just followed the link from google back to here and it would appear that your machine is a Zanussi. 8)

ModeratorRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
Customers who think that you repair their machine, then go home and sit by the phone for the next 4 years until they ring you again, they cannot understand why you do not have all their details instantly to hand.
I have just done a call this afternoon on an ancient Hotpoint 1504 top loader ( it was beyond repair sadly).
The old lady was most upset when I could not remember going to the machine before ( I did have a very vague recollection ) she said “you must remember, you wrote something on the drum”I took the back off and sure enough, in my own fair hand on the plastic drum, brief details of the previous repair that I had done…………………… in 1982 😯
I turned to her and said , I’m sorry, I didn’t do a very good job the last time, did I? 😉

It’s possibly a coincidence but the washer did work fine until a plumber, investigating a leak turned it upside down, and later, while checking the machine’s behaviour, span the dials this way and that
OMG
I hope that this plumber is not a friend. 🙁 😯

ModeratorRe: Can’t get this bl***y range cooker out!!!!
You think thats bad, I had a Hotpoint top loader that was in a corner, flush at the side with a large old stone sink. They had a very large central heating boiler installed 6 inches in front of the washer 👿

Speaking of Zanussi, I remember many years ago when I worked for Hotpoint they imported two Zanussi produced machines for a short period., the 1823 and 1826 ( with 370 and 520 spin speeds 😥 ) you can imagine the main cause of call outs from customers who had previously had a 1500 or 1600.
I remember going to one of these ‘Zanussi’ machines in Chadderton on a CC2 under g/tee call. I walked in and said to the woman, ” don’t tell me, its jumping all over the floor, is it not “? . She said thats brilliant, how did you know before I had said anything. I told her that a huge clue was that the large concrete block that was propping her gate open, was in fact the balance weight ,and not part of the removable packing. 😆

ModeratorRe: lsv66 Ariston Dishwasher
That is a question that only you can really answer, do you have any electro mechanical experience, do you have the required test equipment?
Whilst it could be the heater that is at fault the thermostat itself should not prevent heating, however a safety stat would. Fault could also be due to control timer or breaks in wiring harness, or other component failure.
If you do decide to take a look please remove the mains plug before you do and remember that most modern appliances have some very sharp edges.
Can you see any obvious fault on the heater, does it look warped or split ?

When it is school holidays and you have two or three Rugrats running around you, “whats that mista’, what are doing mista’, whats this silver thing mista’ as he attempts to swallow a small socket from the toolbox, whose lid you are about to bring down swiftly on his hand, 😉
the customers who don’t tell you that someone has already “had a go” 😥
Went to a machine today and was informed, ” my dad, who knows about these things ( yeh right ) has had a go and taken one or two things out, he has put them back and has told me to tell you the timer is faulty, it is not moving round”.
Forgot to mention it was a Hotpoint WMA machine. 😯Also have to add that the only fault was a duff Hot water tap.

ModeratorRe: Hoover Quattro AS110 Carbon Brushes
Cannot find CAR 89 in my slightly out of date Qualtex catalogue, tried on the Qualtex web site but no joy there either.
I have actually done two of these jobs this morning. The CAR 53 was not a good match, large terminal also comes out on the wrong side of the holder and the brush end angle is wrong way round ( but I managed ) 😉
Second job using the FHP brushes as I mentioned above was perfect .

ModeratorRe: Hoover Quattro AS110 Carbon Brushes
got the Qualtex CAR53 brushes today, the screw holes and the locating lugs are in the correct place, the only slight difference is the terminal tag is a large one on the CAR 53 and a small one on the original Sole motor brushes.
I have discovered though that the brushes for the Hoptoint FHP motors can be used for this Sole motor. you have to split the FHP brush holders then remove the carbon & spring from the brass sleeve and reverse it to match the angle of the Sole brush then refit into the Sole holder, but the tags are the same size.iadom

ModeratorRe: Known Error Codes
Hotpoint WMA 30/40/50 LAST ERROR DETECTED codes
Ensure that the main selector switch is in the Off or O position.
Press and hold the Super Rinse and Rinse Hold buttons whilst selecting H on the selector knob, and continue to hold for five seconds.
The ‘Super Rinse’, ‘Rinse Hold’ and ‘Wash’ LED’s will now be flashing.
Press the Start/Cancel button for two seconds.
The ‘Rinse Hold’ LED will be lit and the ‘Super Rinse’ LED will be flashing.
The ‘Final Spin’ LED could be on or off at this stage.Press the Rinse Hold button briefly.
The ‘Rinse Hold’ LED will be flashing & the ‘Super Rinse’ LED will be on steady to indicate the last error routine has been initiated.
Rotate the main programme selector knob slowly anti-clockwise to programme A
Slowly rotate the selector switch clockwise through four positions A to D inclusive, pausing briefly at each programme position. Starting with A make a note of the ‘Final Spin’ LED status. it will be on or off.
When the selector knob reaches D you will have a series of Ons and Offs . This 4 bit binary code should be recorded and checked against the error codes in the following table.
……………………………………………………..A………..B………….C………..D
No spin due to O.O.B……………………….on………off………..off………off
Start butt pressed with door open…….off……….on…………off……..off
or O/C interlock.Failure to fill in allotted time……………..on……….on……….off……….off
Failure to pump out in time allowed……off………off………on……….off
No feedback from thermistor when……off………on……….on………off
heating.Tacho error…………………………………….on……..on……….on………..off
No feedback from tacho…………………..off……….off………off……….on
Motor O/CMotor triac short circuit…………………….on……….off……….off……….on
That was a bit of a pain to get lined up but I hope someone may find it useful. 🙂
