    The goods arent faulty?
So technically then no you cant do anything about it. Pays to shop at your local independent who would be alot more forgiving in such circumstances 😉

    Re: Web sites….

Its like all things there is good and bad and you can pay over the odds for something. Free imho is ok for a personal site no email etc but if you want some kind of realibility you have to pay, thats just my opinion.

http://www.webfusion.co.uk/hosting/ <- free uk domain atm, pay for a year and u get 3 motnhs for free i think.

    You could download this

    http://www.microsoft.com/products/expre … trial.mspx

30day free trial i think it is. Create your site with it and upload it.

On this subject of hosting, was there an intention for ukw to provide hosting on its server?

    Re: WEEE & Recycling

im really confused with this weee directive and im sure others are to.

how does the following fit in with the weee directive

    i dont sell any appliances
i leave all old spares with the customer(its their property)

am i expected to have a mountain of paperwork to reconcile every repair with a scrap part i dont take away?

I’m an Independant engineer, i repair Miele, i am trained by them to do servicing on the range of appliances. Their training & the way they look after you when at training is second to none. They have good service support & share all technical info

Same here and i agree with you. I would work on their appliances all day everyday if i had the chance 🙂

misread lol, if you have what you think is a breather hole then its where a drain hose connects to like has been already commented on blank it off 🙂

you sure your customer hasnt replaced the pump assy with the wrong one and just hasnt told you ?

if its coming from there and there isnt a drain hose pipe for it i would say there is something very fishy going on 😉

Re: CREDA 48145 double electric oven

tricky situation this but if push comes to shove at the end of the day its not your fault, the timer has failed due to external factors outside of your control most ppl would see this if explained. Have to say that our leccy company gives a 50 quid gesture of goodwill with no future comeback under power surges/spikes. i have had a few customers get this.
