I would suggest checking the carbon brushes as the machine is well over 5 years old so that’s where I would start kai

When it tripped the electric after 5 mins it would trip straight away when I switched it back on didnt think the heater would cause that had a motor do it on 1 before that showed fine when i meggared it

This could well be a ffd if it’s a rangemaster and this is something that has to be repaired by a gas safe engineer

Check for a blockage in the pipes from the pump to the door and the pipes underneath also check pressure switch kai

Then I would at least try changing the motor capacitor as this is a cheap part that is common to fail on Hoover dryers it does involve stripping down the dryer thou.

Rear pump on the built in washer like older models yes it’s got to come out to check change pump Kai
