It is the Arcadia platform and I believe the machines are out now, though probably just as a trial.
you have a hardware key which will accept the smartcard but the card can only be used once(though i am sure someone will find a way round it)
dont know the cost of the smartcard or the adaptor sorry.

A claim that should be thrown away as tampering with a safety cut out is asking for trouble.

Take the side panels off and you will see four screws holding the hob in position.

I usually try rewrite, you can get some queer motor faults that will clear up with a new file downloaded.I would say about 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} are succesfull with just a new eeprom file.

    Re: HOTPOINT DISHWASHER

Yup certain datecodes cant remeber which, you just use the eeprom to programme the power module(rather like this new smartcard thingy will work)
It threw me first time i came across it and it can be a pig to do but works fine once up and running.

    Re: HOTPOINT DISHWASHER

Dependant upon the date code you may have to carry out the following
Fit the eeprom to the module and disconnect the small fourway orange plug.
Switch on the machine for thirty seconds then switch off.
Remove eeprom from board and refit orange wired plug to edge connector on module.
Fire up the machine and hey presto it works.
    (this week anyway)

Re: Pay up front for Hotpoint repairs

You heard right, the customer is offered the option to pay up front when booking the call.
It also means fixed pricing on all Indesit,Hotpoint,Creda,Cannon and Ariston repairs,£89.98/99.98 and £109.98 depending on age and badge.

Can we get the terminology right, ther is a bit of a difference between f.s.d and a thermocouple. Not all cookers are fit with f.s.d,s some have a thermocouple on the oven burner now.
Which is a safer option but obviously not as good for automatic cooking.

Go for Villeroy Boch, really tough and resistant to scratching and the white will remain shiny white for years,I fit one for my brother about nine years ago and it still looks brand new.

I have had a few of these motors seize after washing for a while, you would be able to tell as the motor gets a tad hot.

Give the screws a good dose of wd40 or similar, take a drift and give the heads a good smack with the aid of a big hammer.Get a shatterproof t40 bit and with the bit inserted in the screw give them another smart tap.
    Works everytime.
