10mm if it’s a normal Lux spider. Like Alex says, easy to round them off if you don’t go careful. Best to have a spare one or two available.

After this the drying elements would not power up at all!

So, the situation was actually worse after all your work 😕 .
We’ve all been there! My theory is that you’ve somehow made a bad crimp as it’s not all that accessible down there in the dark and miserable depths of the condenser to tub hose.
If not, would have thought it worth cutting open the dryer relay with Stanley knife to see if contacts are burnt. Don’t ask me which one it is though!

I’m sure you can. I did it on a Bosch which had same sort of valve at similarly daft price!

This thread just saved me a bucketful of trouble! Maybe I’ll just search here first when I’m looking for a difficult part in future. Although I actually got here this time by putting “TDL30 air duct” into Google!

    Re: Whirlpool awo/d5556

You could replace the valve with a more conventional type (e.g. Connect’s VAL98115 10.5mm bore, allegedly fits Whp) and use crimp connectors. Just need to experiment a bit with volt meter, to find which wire does what, when. Or just pull off the circuit board from the existing valve terminals and you’ll have bare terminals sticking up. Need to lengthen wires and make sure it all goes back safely of course. ( I say that not for your benefit, I’m sure you’re perfectly competent, but in case someone says I’m a cowboy for suggesting such a thing :rolls: )

The trick with using search, as revealed by someone earlier, think it was Pigpen, is to leave off the last letter of the word that’s getting ignored and replace it with an asterisk, e.g. Bosc*.

    Re: LG washer

They’re more like Zanussi or Hotpoint WMA. Drum has to come out and be split. There’s belt drive models and direct drive models. On direct drives, removing the motor (which is behind the pulley) could be a bit of a puzzle the first time. Look carefully, you only need take out some of the bolts.
The other difficulty is getting the right spider (if needed). There are quite a few variations and info is not always readily available.

They had better not try that with me; I’d be more than fuming.
Mind you, as I can see from the display who is calling, their calls would be very unlikely to be answered anyway.

The mice must be tough up there and / or extremely hungry. Most belts are re-inforced with nylon; would not have thought it easy to chew one in half.
Maybe you should give them some cheese to distract them.

Don’t know if this helps at all, can’t mess with Connect’s images – they’re protected.

I guess the bog roll must be hidden…. like the waste bin in the kitchen 👿 .

As for not offering you coffee, well… then you’re obviously fully justified in getting the shooter out.

Re: Bsh SGV53E13GB/01 flow meter symptoms.

Yes, I know but the old one tested fine on my 4.5v test lamp, the lamp flickering fast and consistently when I blew into it, though the struggle to get the damn’ thing out could have righted it I suppose.
It’s not too surprising that the switches wear out, given the very high frequency that the terminals have to open and close = millions of cycles per lifetime. (Well, theoretically.) And how good a seal can you get between glass and metal?

Not one of those analogic(?) p/switches? Some of these machines have two, that and a conventional one, I think.
