    Re: Poor Wash Results

WMA36P using prog.D (40deg coloureds) and liquitabs placed at the back of the drum. Customer finds that dark garments have white specks all over them and smell of unrinsed detergent?

I suggested she press the ‘extra rinse’ button each time and switch to powder tabs, plus do a couple of service washes in case its limescale? I went out yesterday to check it out and can’t find any faults, outer drum clean as a whistle, sump trap clear, seems to washes/rinse/spin just fine. I left before the test wash completed but she phoned last night to say the results were the same?

    Bugged if I know 😕

    Re: Hotpoint DWF33 door catch

A new Door Latch Assembly (Part No 1801384) is available via emailing these details to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

I suspect the unit has just dislodged (if the handle looks a little lop-sided that’s the clue) and carefully repositioning will cure. Very often door handles are used and abused and they are only plastic after all!

The subs pot is full and overflowing with nothing to spend it on as I recall? Far better the subscriber funding be direct more towards the betterment (is that a word?) of UKW, its improved server costs, its commitment to repairs@ etc etc.

UKW needs to recoup some of its investment back in a more positive way from its MEMBERS first (i.e Those that get work from repairs@ should stump up say £1 a call back to UKW?) Free membership is all well and good but come on guys, leave charity to someone else here and get real!

Don’t put upon Joe Public in this way to get funding, sod Amazon, its too ‘in their face’ anyway I reckon.

:martin: You may notice my signature is ’empty’ at the moment but only because friggin’ Amazon is there…uninvited! 🙄

Now that the earlier missunderstanding has been cleared up, can I ask why Support UK Whitegoods engineers with Amazon has to be there at the bottom of each and everyones post in the public forums? Does the public understand what it is all about? Who are UK Whitegoods engineers anyway? Why do they need support in this way? Does the public give a toss?

I will at this point put in my :martin: lest there be any confusion to my questioning 😉

We all know that virtually every customer whose threshold we cross in the course of a day comes out with the standard UK greeting ….. “…would you like a drink?” and if you fail to respond by simple saying “…no thank you I’ve just had one!” then be prepared for sampling the extreme and unique delights of the insipid, in-house, indescribable imbibe (some may need to look that last word up in their Funk & Wagnalls 🙄 )

Trust me, in most cases you’d wished you’d say no to the dreaded brew!

I guess you mean a WFF2001GB/01 machine? The valve almost certainly will be at fault. The hot valve is Part No:154645 and the cold is 086311. Available via emailing correct model details to: spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
