You do what you like Jim, most of us have spent all morning bu&&ering about with our watches, mobile phones, cooker clocks, videos. But you leave it til tomorrow if you like….no problem 😀

Yes it is a fine product by a long and well established German manufacturer. Comes with a 2 year warranty from reputable retailers and possibly not from Internet shopping!

cornflakes wrote:any idea of cost new timer unit
Yes it’s part no: 432218 and fits a few different models too. I’ve fitted just one so far and the fault with that one was that the double pole switch on the rotary switch had dodgy burnt terminals. (So yours could be the same sort of fault maybe?)
Module (retail – including VAT) currently is £101.05 🙁

Water in the U bend is normal. Common problems are usually the fan jamming or fan blades crudded up. Also the wires to the heater often break where they are tied to the cabinet.
A simple test meter will quickly establish if there is continuity across the thermostat terminals and element and with a 240v AC voltmeter whether or not there is power getting to the heating element 😉
CAUTION MUST BE APPLIED WHEN DEALING WITH LIVE ELECTRICS AND IF UNSURE PLEASE GET A LOCAL EXPERT TO REPAIR IT :zap:
No technical manuals available to the general public I’m afraid 🙁

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD22 not drying
The plastic condenser unit that attaches to the back of the machine and into the heater box and fan unit will need stripping and cleaning. Also check the water is turned on and is flowing slowly thru the black nozzle on the top of the rear panel (black lid cover needs lifting to inspect whislt in operation) 😉

Thanks for that boro! Tell me, how did you suss that one out? Did the actuator appear to have shorted out or open circuit?
I wish the bloke at Bosch’s Technical Department in Milton Keynes knew of this when I rang him the first time over the problem 🙁

Muy bueno usted suena quiere un nativo! (very good! you sound like a native)
Spanish is quite easy to learn as they construct sentences in the same way as we do in English and gender definition is easy too. So no worries and good luck!
Tenga un día bueno amigo! 😀

ParticipantRe: Detergent Door Fails to Open on Bosch Dishwasher
The latching has worn and needs replacing, individual parts are available but I recommend replacing the complete Dispenser Unit. Often much the better option at just £31.61 but tricky to replace as it’s easy to damage the stainless steel inner door panel in so doing.
The part number is 263088 and it can be obtained direct from Bosch via this link:-

ParticipantRe: Questions
£399 is a better price tag to put on it, brings it into the ‘under £400 price bracket and is what punters look for after all 😉
Will glossy sales brochures be available or the equivalent downloadable pdf.file so we can print off loads to hand out to customers? High pressure selling in the customers home is not to be recommended once their machine has been written-off. Therefore they may need a certain time to consider such a purchase and a chance to compare prices perhaps. So a good load of information about the product and emphasis on the after sales service/guarantee and all that good stuff wouldn’t be a bad idea?

hay muchos suministradores en España (there are many wholesalers in spain) usted debe aprender a hablar español primero aunque (you must learn to speak Spanish first though) cuando mayoristas no hablan inglés (as wholesalers do not speak or understand English!

Dave_Conway wrote:It sounds like the programme dial is in the wrong position somehow
Wouldn’t think so Dave and easy to realise if the 12 o’clock “Off” position wasn’t OFF anyway. So most likely its either the motor or heater at fault causing the programme to shut down OR the timer/module unit is duff. 🙁

Allsorts wrote:Check that the filter is not blocked and stopping the water from escaping…. If there is water in the drum then the sensor will sometimes stop the door from opening
This machine does not have a filter and and no sensor to prevent the door opening. Therefore as iadom said, it most likely is the Door Interlock (Part No 1602390) and that will need replacing!

Not a good recommendation at all really then?
