Waters,
Best have a word with the lads at EMW for this. They are the whizz kids that will point you in the right direction 😉

Colour blindness tests are a thing of the past in our game. Except that is that these days many manufacturers are using wiring harnesses in either black or white.
So, the current thinking for new recruits into this trade is that at ‘Interview stage’ the individual be given a comprehensive INK BLOT TEST!!!!:rotfl:http://www.metroradio.co.uk/nav?action=gallery&id=3030&start=0

Yes its likely the Heater has failed to show this error code. Not a costly business having a local independant in to replace it for you. 😉
To check if we have one in your area just click on the link below 😀

ParticipantRe: Excess rinse aid Hotpoint DWF60
Certainly it would involve closer inspection of the dispenser unit and most likely the rinse aid plunger/valve is probably not seating properly. It can be repaired/replaced as all the component parts are available seperately. However I would always recommend changing the Dispenser Assembly (Part No: 1801684) though they are not cheap at around £60 ish

Using their website, select the same product code as is listed at the back of your machine.
wildrover wrote:Does anyone know what it should say around the dial ?
No, but if the manual doesn’t show the dial markings, we could supply a new dial by emailing us at spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

Evren,
Could you give me the 8 digit ‘Product Code’ of your machine please? It will be on the back panel near the lid I think? Better still give me ALL the numbers shown there 💡

Crickey! Sounds more like melt-down if the panel gets hot??????
I guess the model number has also ‘melted off’ as I do not recall a HWL 3137 being sold in the UK?

GOD HELP US ALL HERE ON THIS SITE!!….we have enough trouble ‘remotely’ diagnosing faults just on UK marketed machines with little or bu&&er all technical info from “THE INDESIT COMPANY”. That we should be wrestling with half cocked advice on all their other European tosh as well???????
Candy Elise 105 springs to mind here……….???

ParticipantRe: Manufacture date of Hotpoint WMA33N, s/n 78117343?
Anonymous wrote:As we bought it in Jan 2002
You are very specific about this date* AND the date code ( 78 ) will prove to any Hotpoint official that your machine IS within the guarantee period, there should be no problem for you in getting the DRUM ASSEMBLY replaced for LABOUR CHARGES ONLY!!
It is a well known, well publicised fault with these drums and drum bearings, that they cannot hold out on you in this case. Contact Hotpoint again and perhaps this time mention that you have spoken with us here on UKWHITEGOODS.COM over your plight 😉
Local repairers?…that will set you back £150 (at least) to get a new Drum fitted anyway 🙁

*How come you know that date so specifically? Have you still got the chequebook stub or maybe the old bank statement?’ cos that’s good enough anyway as proof!
