ParticipantRe: Hoptoint Condensor Dryer not drying
Almost certainly the Thermostats are at fault here. Check the model number, then look up posts on that model number and see lots of comments!
Without that number I cannot advise further.

It will most likely require the motor taking out and its Brushes replacing 😉

Nah!
Just a blockage from the fill unit to the tub most likely. Not a DIY job and I would advise contacting our repairs@ to see if their is an engineer covering your area to take a look and give it a service

Rob,
It is a ‘communication error’ between the Motor and the Speed Control Module. It could be the Tacho Coil on the end of the motor or its connection directly to that Module.
Not a DIY fix in all honesty!

Woody,
The switch contacts on the Push Button Unit are never possible to repair. Replacement the only option. Also the door latch microswitch is another likely troublespot. The wiring harness adjacent the door hinge another load of trouble!!!
Time to call it a day and buy a new Bosch or get that much needed part and take a chance something else could go wrong :con:

ParticipantRe: creda ecosense dryer doesn’t
Paul,
Wow! Bit of a problem you have there! It more than likely is a connection problem based on the fact it was fine until the belt was fitted 😕 So its a question of checking and double checking, even backtracking on any possible damage that could have been accidentally created in doing so. :con:
This is an old machine, a number of components are obsolete and in the worst case scenario a new Timer/Control is not far short of £100 !!!Sorry but it is not exactly symptomatic of any specific fault we normally encounter. The usual things that give rise to problems are the thermostats, fluff blockages everywhere especially around the fan cowling, worn belts and moving parts..thats it!…. Never ever had need to change a Timer though 😕

Paul,
First thing we need from you is the Model number please, there are dozens of differing ecosense dryers out there 🙂

romarj,
I would recommend calling out an engineer to check it for you. There is a set procedure for checking the functions in order to establish the fault and this can only be achieved by calling in the experts.
Go to our repairs@ to see if we have an engineer in your area that can take a look. It may well be a minor fault all the while after all 😉

First of all you will need to try ‘resetting’ the machine. (Press the 2nd and 4th buttons together for 3 seconds with it switched on) It hopefully will then show ‘0’ in the window and the pump will run for 60 secs.
Let me know the result!

ParticipantRe: Indesit W133 – replacing drum bearings
No Colin, just WD40 applied and left for an hour or so is ideal. Then whack them out with a sharp edged cold chisel 😀
Welcome to the world of washing machine repairers, we do it all day long for a living and have the scars to prove it 😆

Yes, multiplugs are designed for low power consuming appliances, Hi Fi’s, TV’s Videos, Irons, Toasters, Food Mixers…..Not TUMBLE DRYERS!!!

Sue,
Multiplug???
Do you mean a 2 or 3 way adaptor, plugging several appliances into one 13amp socket I wonder?
If that is the case, it is the “Multiplug” and wall socket at fault, old, worn, bad contacts cause overheating and the fuse simply ‘melts’ because of this. Always plug your dryer in to a wall socket ‘on its own’ as it draws a lot of current (power) and unless the connections are sound you are asking for trouble.
Throw that “Multiplug” in the bin, perhaps even look carefully at the wall socket, if there is any sign of burning or worn pins/sockets, then you need to get a local electrician in to replace it. The safety net against disaster in this case is that little 13amp fuse :lesson:

Romarj,
In the ‘Time Display’ window, does your machine not come up with an ‘Error Code’ I wonder?
