Re: second-hand washing m/c with two serial numbers

The two are almost identical apart from one have alphabetical programme listings, the other numerical. It could possibly be a factory refurb. One things for sure, if it works then it’s a bonus. Hotpoint’s are notoriously unreliable and to find a secondhand one that actually works an achievement. Well done but try to avoid looking this gift horse in the mouth any more. 😉

That’s OK then as faulty selectors do that anyway.

Re: Hoover HNWF washer dryer f12

It may be coincidental that the selector switch caused the dryer error though I wonder why the customer replaced it in the first place, please explain?

There is a specific ‘auto test’ for the dryer only which may help explain what us going on? The dryer module on these is on the base, the dryer selector switch on the panel alongside the main prog selector switch which makes diagnostics challenging. Email me if you need the test manual for this heap of wonderment. 😉

Give us the full model number or better still the 8 digit product code (3???????) as that will help decide. 😉

You could contact your local branch of ‘Community Furniture Project’ or Charity organisations that also deal, like them, with white goods.

Thought so, therefore I’m thinking you may need to check and double check that you configured it for the correct model? What is the correct model ENr number as the one you published doesn’t exist?

Computer says NO to that model number, try again.
Did the PCB come with configuration instructions?

Have you tried disconnecting the motor plug then trying the reset?

Less than 2 weeks to go………….what if they vote yes?

Will it be cheaper to buy spares and new white goods from Scotland
Will the currency exchange rate and VAT make them cheaper or dearer?
Will UKW have a subtle name change say to UK @ Scotland Whitegoods?

The gap between a yes or a no vote is narrowing. The tension mounts.

Call in the local agents. It is not recommended to mess with gas appliances especially so when you have to ask. “Previous forays” sounds even more disconcerting reading. 🙁

Bosch dishwashers carry a 2 year guarantee. I suggest you contact their service centre. Do NOT mess with it yourself otherwise the guarantee will be void!

Re: A question on quick wash and centrifuge

A quick wash is meant to refresh clothing rather than washing them as such. For very light soiled clothing, clothing that has been stored for months or brand new clothes yet to be worn but needing the ‘dressing’ taking from the fibres.

Final spin cycles can last 10 minutes or more by the way.
