Re: Bosch oven – oven function keeps switching on grill inst

It does sound a bit like the selector switch (part no: 00611030) needs replacing.

Well spotted Ted, yes it is made exclusively at their Porcia factory 😀

What have you checked so far? I’m thinking either mains filter or heater ❓

There is something rubbing against the pump impeller. (A foreign object like a hairgrip or some such). Drain the filter as per user instructions and remove the filter. Check, with a torch, to see what’s in there, once the filter is removed?

Lighter one piece sealed polycarbonate drums. Thinner grade metal cabinets with ribbed reinforced sides. Plastic moulded control panels (formerly metal). Alloys replaced by plastic. Smaller concrete counterbalance weights. Lighter induction drive motors. Condenser units smaller and thinner. Fan motor units smaller, lighter.

Weight saving a massive priority in modern mass produced factories targeting a world market.

The black rubber sump hose could well be blocked especially the section of pipe that leads to the pressure switch.

The motor needs attention as the brushes will almost certainly need replacing.

And finally, and if the pump is OK as you suggest, then the drain hose and where it terminates need inspecting too.

Good plan! Especially if one brush tip is blackened and no longer shiny.

The motor is controlled by the module so yes it’s top on the list of suspects. Costly repair this ones gonna be 🙁

Is it getting hot in the 10 mins it runs?

The front sensor (00154166) may need replacing if it does.

My next door neighbour has a kettle tap (Quooker) and tea made using it doesn’t taste so good.
