Re: Siemens SN44T580SK/23 Type SD6P1S heating problem

Yes replacing the relays in the board the best option. Quick wash 9 out of 10 is a red herring so not to be relied on.

If the module number is exact then that will be OK as they fit a number of machines across the Bosch Siemens and Neff range.

Reed switch/ fill problems throw up E:17 E:18 faults so you can probably ignore that and concentrate on the E:02 issue.

Re: Siemens SN44T580SK/23 Type SD6P1S heating problem

Firstly Everen the E:02 error relates to a faulty main control module 🙁

It could well be the heater relay on that board is faulty.

Secondly, the fill sequence is controlled by the reed switch/water wheel unit in the fill matrix. It might be that that reed switch needs replacing? (Common fault)

    HTH? 😀

Yes it is a Hall sensor in effect.

Under 18 quid direct from Bosch. Yeah, it’s like most electronic gizmos these days, plug in, switch on and make a wish 😆

No the bulb wattage will have no effect whatsoever. There is a more underlying fault that needs closer inspection. Preferably with the oven out, disconnected and fully tested throughout with a Megger (aka insulation tester). Get your man back in to do that. 😀

Re: BOSCH DISHWASHER WASH PUMP QUERY

I’ve not come across one, but then again my customers would never stump up the cost of replacing it. 😉

The photo shows both motors on differing sides so it’s harder to compare from that. I would imagine the pump chamber will swap over OK and the 3 motor terminals (hopefully?) are numbered the same for a one on one swap.

You are correct on both counts though. The part number is correct and there is no mod sheet so you should be OK in swapping it over.

What is wrong with the old motor anyway? If it’s just a seized front bearing? That can usually be replaced easily enough. There are signs of corrosion on the housing so the impeller kit will need replacing too.

    HTH? 😀

I don’t know the answer there Steven or the reason for the mod. It seems BSH info is lacking now on UKW as their known engineers have become scarce by their absence of late. 🙁

Very likely a faulty motor tripped the electrics, possibly whilst it was spinning? It won’t start now because the self-checking electronics within sense there is a problem. So time to unplug it from the power and start by checking that motor I reckon. 😀

There is a mod on these where the condenser duct is replaced and the NTC is taped up and tied to the adjacent wiring harness. (I wonder if that was done in April?).

3 yrs old and condenser at the bottom, by the corrugated hose, could be clogged? Also I wonder how often customer carried out the ‘Fluff Clean’ cycle? (I know what Paul Daniels would have replied. 😉 )

    Pretty much yes.

liltzaone wrote:Are they the same build quality?

    Ditto

liltzaone wrote:Should the most expensive one out live the cheapest one or are they all built to the same spec?

The more expensive have more programme options, faster spin and so on plus selected models have a 10yr guarantee which make them more expensive due to the simple fact that you are paying extra for that guarantee. 😉

My only gripe with Miele is that many of the programme cycles take forever (3hrs typical) and for your large family washday will never cease. Bosch likewise have lengthy programme times. Makes a nonsense of so called ‘energy efficiency’ I reckon. :rolls:

A little jokingly perhaps but yes. Though cutting metal would be a possibility, on a plastic valve thread, not so. :snig:

    Re: Neff B1442 Problem

Using visual checks alone reveals little though occasionally when elements ‘pop’ it is all too apparent especially the circular fan element. The limiter is located attached close to the oven cavity near the cooling fan housing. Two choices really, either full inspection using a test meter or back away and call in a local independent repairer who can fix it quicker, and far far cheaper than Neff.

    HTH? 😀

The good news: It is not part of the machine
The BAD news: It is out of hubbies pocket, he’s been DIY’ing again and left a bit out of that Ikea flatpack I reckon. 😉
