Would a customer see the benefit outweighing the cost on a product that has a limited overall lifespan? What would an annual service (including consumable parts replacement) cost on average would you say?

    Caps Lock frustrated poster 😉

Yes the main power board is the subject of the error. It is located after removing the right hand side panel, at the bottom where the mains plug connects. Costly to replace so caution advised. 🙁

    The good news:

The motor connecting plug wires may have been damaged? Carefully check the wires into that connecting block.

    The real bad news:

The ‘tachometer generator’ magnet on the motor’s armature shaft has likely cracked and is broken. You’ll need to remove and dismantle the motor and inspect that magnet. If that is the case then it’s the end of the road for your machine as a new motor is the only resolve.

I would go with that thought, 199 quid and 1200rpm, Beko a smart choice on a budget. One thing’s for sure, it will outlast that crappy Hotpoint you bought.

I’m confused also. You did say pump in your original post. So, are you now talking the main drive motor OR the drain pump?

They look OK. So, next question, if you were to put it now on a wash cycle, would would it fill and tumble OK?
