Bosch only make their own. A Bosch is a Bosch made in a Bosch owned factory by Bosch staff on Bosch payroll.
Vestel are Turkish, beyond that I do not know or care TBH. 😕

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Washer Dryer on off button
Take the knob off again then carefully align the display disc with the timer cam (note carefully their respective lugs only fit on one way). Then you can refit the outer knob ensuring the timer and program display disc are in sequence.

“Someone?” Didn’t I just respond to your plea….deary me. :rolls:
The PCB is the main control unit in the door ( the thing with the buttons you press) 😉

It’s clear from the photos that the respective connector blocks fit on the corresponding terminal (e.g. The one connector block with just 3 tags plugs into the single bank of 3 tags)

joonty wrote:Martin, thanks for the reply. But I don’t know how to do that! I’m not really sure what I should be looking for, or how to check the components when I find them.
Oh dear, asking for help will inevitably mean you will need a good degree of electrical knowledge and the relevant tools including a test meter. The test meter to check the electrical potential of the element and thermostat the most necessary. So, with the power totally isolated you will need tools to access the heater/stat terminals and so on.
Yes Miele do charge highly for their services but often local independent repair companies are cheaper. An option you may consider given the circumstances.

Did you check the error codes thread Mack? In there it suggests the dryer module might be the issue. 😉

ParticipantRe: Miele washer-dryer not heating up
Check both heater and stat first then report back.

Mushroom float and its microswitch OK are they?

ParticipantRe: PAB AQ9MPBGBB
Try resetting the program cycle first. If that doesn’t cure check the water inlet valve as it may have burnt out.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS45E08GB/45 no heat
Most common reason: Solder joint on PCB (aka Control Unit) has burnt out and the pin needs cleaning and resoldering to repair.

Wow, not the sort of machine you would want kids in the same room with. Will that drum flopping about severed fingers an inevitable outcome. I’ve never seen these machines in action before but the first video the bearings/drum shaft are the issue. As might well be the case with the OP’s machine?

Maybe the heater is not secure between the inner drum and outer tub?
