A little update, took the board off to have a look. It’s the board alright, the transistor that supplies the solenoid that was open circuit was blown.

Good question . More to the story is that the water pressure was awful bad and when he replaced the valve this is what was happening. He told them it was the water pressure causing it to stop. So they got a plumber to sort out the water problem but machine doing the same..
They also called a Bosch engineer out afterwards and he wouldn’t touch it when he had seen the old valve on the kitchen top.

Used one of these kits in one about 2 months ago. Got a call back but was just the belt broke. Think something may have got stuck in it. The shaft seems to be still ok and it’s high use.

Thanks, you could be on to something there because when i traced the wire back to the switch it always led ( after a few loops) to an open contact on the switch which didn’t make sense to me, thought i was going mad!

ParticipantRe: de dietrich fan oven low heat
i came across one of these ( i think similiar model number) Can’t remember the fault exactly but there was a load of dry/cracked solder joints on the board, worth checking.

Might be a dry solder joint on the board. Came across this a few times.

God she has me under pressure with this one :rolls: . I did look but nothing reffering to lights. It starts ok. The problem happens when it starts to heat. While it’s heating and the drum rotates you can hear a clicking from one of the relays ( only when rotating and only when heating) Does this for about 10 seconds and stops with the lights showing below.

Possibly the inlet valve that has an intermittent fault? Have seen it a lot with the whirlpool washing machines. It would fill for a minute and then breakdown as it got warm.

Jaysus i was starting to think that there was a top secret thing going on this forum regarding these Whirlpool’s 😆 Thanks Johnmac for the reply. I managed to find a service manual after ages looking on the net with all the codes. So if anyone needs one give us a shout..
The above fault is indeed pressure switch but on inspection it “seems ” ok so it might be the main board. Ordered a switch to see what happens.
