ParticipantRe: Bosch Washing Machine not spining
Agree with Dr Drill completely
Maybe worth checking the comdition of the commutator before fitting brushes as well..

ParticipantRe: Bosch WM not starting
Quite possibly the motor brushes are worn, check these are ok..if not replace..
If they are not worn, then more than likely a faulty door interlockMartin

ParticipantRe: Bosch Washing Machine not spining
Sounds like the brushes are worn…especially if it spins without any problems without a load inside

ParticipantRe: Hoover OPH616 water temperature
Its the NTC “water temperature sensor” this is located in the element itself, and is a push in fit..with a plug type connector around £10 to purchase at most…..check connections on the element itself are nice and tight, and show no sighns of over heating…if they do then change complete assembly which will come with the NTC sensor fitted ready..

They can be very tight!
I usually remove tight tops using a rubber mallet, bang away at each front corner,..using short sharp blows…this usually shifts em!
Dont lift the front, just remove the rear screws…and proceed as described..
Hope it works for you!

ParticipantRe: Miele w829 washing machine
Update
Miele now working again
It was the contacts on the RK1 relay..welded together!
also the radial fuse, was blown, both came out quite easily, with the aid of a solder sucker & some copper braid…Thanks to all contributions
