Re: Bosch Washer WFP3201 Error 005

    Thanks Martin

Just off to do it…hopefully I have the right carbons on the van……..
(and I always bed them in with the hard commo resurfacing stick. It does wonders)

    I will let you know.

Is there a sticky with this Bosch fault listed?

    Re: All flashing HOTPOINT WF540PB

I this an EEprom board, and if so, can you buy it pre-programmed, or do you have to get a smartcard and adapter (or join Merloni to get the laptop and software!!!)??

Also I will give EMW a call tomorrow.

Thanks for that. Just ordered up a new salt regen valve as you suggest.

Well of course she swears she had the salt cap properly tightenend!! :rolls:

Question – how would the regeneration valve sticking open allow all that salt (presumably mostly still undissolved crystals) through into the wash chamber?

Just to wrap this thread up – we got an EEprom direct from Merloni (quite fast and efficiant but expensive) and sorted the machine. Also de-soldered the old EEprom, which works fine.

Cheers for an interesting, if diverse, thread!

OK – I’m up to speed on this now, thanks.
Hopefully the old board has an eeprom.

How do we get hold of indesit smartcards and the special adapter that plugs into the module?? (for future reference)

BTW I came across this fascinating Indesit document – take a look at page 10 (robots building washing machines!) also page 7 (modules)

Re: Ariston 1535UK Washer Module Problem (C00143471)

I’m a bit confused here – I have heard there is a version of this board “without eprom” (Espares lists it).
And EMW list a Mark One board (has ARISTON FE printed on it) and a Mark Three board (has FULL0028 printed on it)…

The old board is in the customers machine, so I will get it Monday.

    Thanks

    Thanks guys.

But I ended up with egg on my face. Looked very carefully at the new clock and found (faintly engraved) that all the amp tags were labelled on the plastic casing beside them! So, given some bright lighting in a dark kitchen, no problemo!
    Ah well.

No visible dry joints or damage on the pcb (module). Ordered a new one from my supplier. It arrived. Dead.

Got a recon one from EMW – at least I knew that it had been tested before posting! Machine now working fine and I saved some money. Thanks EMW.

Well the end to the story is a bit strange. It turned out the new module was faulty. Replaced the old one, and after many, many resets, finally got it working properly and stable. Still don’t know why the button stopped working.

My own conclusion is to stay WELL AWAY from these PCBs! Bunch of crap.

(and I waited WEEKS for indesit to send out the “new PCB”!)

The button on this PCB is the tiny “click” type – you can feel it clicking, on both the old and the new PCB. I think this is different from the tactile type, which I believe just works on the change in resistance when you bridge the two parts with your finger.
