Before changing the heater , i’d be looking at the control module board and maybe the Interference capacitor suppressor at the rear .

Have you checked the heating element ? Its the most common cause of “1 minute – still washing” faults. As to not taking conditioner , its either because it hasn’t moved on from the wash cycle because of the not heating fault or you’ll need to clean out the dispenser upper section.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx SGS45C12GB – normal duration
Yes , it does !!! Your appliance uses less water than previous meahcines and to facilitate this , it washes the top and bottom baskets seperately , a minute apart. This , as a consequence , increases the wash time…..but it also decreases water and power consumption as the power used by the wash motor for the increased time is a lot less than a heater for heating up a lot more water.

And make sure you fitted the new impellor jug the right way ! 🙂

ParticipantRe: bosch washer/dryer wvt1260gb/01
IIRC , you can do it in-situ by having the machine laid on its front. This gives you JUST enough room to wiggle the bearing cross out once the bolts have been removed ……the fun really starts when you start trying to put the cross back on !!!
Tip – order some new bolts too as the new bearing cross will need new threads cutting with the bolts. Best to do this before fitting .

With the impellor jug , its rarely the reed switch that fails . Its normally the magnet falling off the impellor blade itself thats the problem ! If you hold the impellor jug and blow into one end , you should see the inner impellor spinning with the black magnet showing. If the blades are white then the magnet has vamooshed and a new impellor jug is the only answer

Check the heating element . May be open circuit OR you may find one of the connectors burnt on the heater.

ParticipantRe: Late type Bosch Dishwasher SMS63E09UK/01 Error code E 09
E:09 is def a not heating fault….most prob the heat pump . They have ‘foil’ heaters so work differently from the traditional instantaneous water heaters.
Resistance values – ( reading contacts from motor end ) – contacts 2 – 3 = approx 10/11 ohms
contacts 3 – 4 = approx 10/11 ohms
contacts 2 – 4 = approx 19/23 ohmshope this helps

The recall covers machines between 7 & 12 yrs old so don’t discount any older dishwashers you might work on !

ParticipantRe: Siemens SE25A266GB/24 leaking on fill
No. The best way is to restart a cycle . The matrix willfill then empty….once its empty , reset and drain appliance and you will be left with an empty matrix !

ParticipantRe: Bosch washer not heating- PCB?
You might find the control module covered in carbon dust . This can disrupt and cause component failure .

ParticipantRe: Neff S54T09X1GB/06 just pumps
Martin , does it fill at the same time ? Have had a few faults where a component goes on the board ( not neccassarily showing any damage ) and the drain pump gets ‘powered’ up when the valve or maybe wash motor fires up. Can’t remember if it has happened on this particular model though i’m afraid .
