Sounds like you have a leak into the base operating the flood protection system. You will need to find this leak before your machine will work properly again.

I would really advise NOT running the machine with it tilted backwards because if enough water accumulates at the back you could do major damage to the electrics.

You will need to remove the door , side panels and lower panel to be able to search for the leak. Once these panels are removed , set the machine to start and then its a case of observing and looking for signs of water dripping/leaking into the lower base area.

i think its an F:11 fault – (drying , iron dry & end LED’s ?) If its those 3 then you have either a main board failure or motor fault. Check all plugs on the board for fitting and if they’re alright , try unplugging the motor to see if that makes a difference.
My own experience would point towards a board failure unfortunately. The new modules come with a coating over the electrical components so that suggests we’ve had problems with moisture ingress on the original boards maybe ?

undo the two screws at the top inner edge and the outer door glass lifts up and off. Then remove the two hinge clips inside the door and then lift the rest of the door up and out . Then its just a case of dismantling the door parts. Be warned….there are lots of screws !!!

When you say pressing reset does nothing , will it stop washing when you do reset it ? It should drain then……..maybe a blocked drain pump ?

door lock in all probability. Get them to try and start it with the door open and see if the symptons are the same

Switch off from control panel . Hold down super freeze and switch on . Hold the super button down for approx 5 seconds until -16*c led flashes – you are now in the test programme . Pressing the temp select button will move through the different tests . Pressing the super freeze button starts the test .
    If i remember correctly…….

    -16 – sensors
    -18 – freezer fan
    -20 – defrost heater
    -22 – compressor
Switching off will terminate test programme .

If current draw for heater is around 0.75 amps then its normally ok . If its 0amps then possible open circuit heater but don’t forget there is a thermal fuse on the evaporator that is in series with the heater .

As long as they have proof of purchase , the 2 yr warranty will stand .

    Re: BOSCH WAE 24164

it is possible to test the 2 valves individually in the test programme . As you seem to have worked out , I would say its the main wash valve that’s at fault (or its feed from the module ) In all honesty , in 6 odd years of working on these models , I’ve not known of a board failure with respect to the valves .

The fill sequence starts with an approx 5 sec fill into the pre-rinse chamber (far right) from IIRC the top valve , a short pause then continuation of filling VIA the lower valve into the left hand side chamber . If you’ve got that initial burst but then nothing , then that suggests main wash valve failure . This would be backed up if the flashing leds were the top and bottom spin speed lights .

I’d be tempted to try a new valve – 4283210 – just in case .

Rinse light flashing is fault in drive circuit so definitely be looking at brushes / motor .

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher SGS43CO2GB/35

As i understand it , the cold water feed is used to create a cold area that helps draw the warm moist air off the load items. Much in the same way a washer dryer pumps in a little cold water into the bottom of the drum to assist in the drying action.
This is also the explaination for the large ‘heat exchangers’ on some models of our DW’s that fill with cold water that then create’s a ‘cold wall’ within the appliance to help condense the water off the plates etc etc

Also make sure they’re not using a quick wash program as this has no drying cycle and that its not plumbed into hot rather than the cold supply .

    Can’t say i’ve ever known a WAE drum spider to fail ? But there’s always a first time i guess ! 8)

Its also worth noting that a jammed non-return valve can throw up this error . I had one that had me stumped until I removed a cherry stem from the one way flap .

First check the heater to make sure its heating and then check motor insulation !
