ParticipantRe: Siemens micro shuts off after 20sec
Officially , there aren’t any customer serviceable parts in your microwave . This is due to the fact that even when unplugged , there are components within the machine that can be lethal. However , i will also warn you that best case scenario on cost of ‘probable’ parts required is approx £135….worst cae scenario for parts is £300 . Its not a machine to be messed with tbh and if you really want it fixed , you’d be better off finding a local appliance engineer .

selector knob to the 6 o’clock position , hold spin speed select button , turn selector switch 1 click clockwise to 7 o’clock position and release spin speed button. The f:21 may not disappear but turn selector switch to off……and repeat the above steps to enter test programme. This should clear the fault

Its a long time since i did one but i think the 2nd one fits into the hole created by the broken bearing if thats whats happened. option one requires a 5mm pilot hole drilling. …..price wise , option 1 is £3 or £4 , option 2 is about £8 but you might need to check with BSH first. Wonder if its worth ordering one of each ? I’m vaguely thinking option 2 was the more successful

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher PCB pic with blown transistors
The bottom one is definitely the water point actuator . The dispenser actuator is the one to the left of that one .
The 3 on the right…from top to bottom = Drainage valve , regen valve , filler valve.
No idea what the top chip is that you’ve indicated as blown

This is a Maytag FF .
2 possible solutions to the broken shelf bearings –
Bosch part no’s : 184186 or 188400 – Both are repair kits for the bearings . The first is a screw-in fixing point , a bit like a plasterboard rawl plug . The second is a ‘push-in’ kind of clip . IIRC , both work ok .
The water/ice build up may be a build up of gunge/bacteria in the drain hose of the freezer compartment . You may need to clear the drain hole behind the panel in the freezer compartment then remove and clean the drain hose at the lower rear of the machine.HTH

Plastic burns !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just hope he follows it up with the rest of his house !! Can’t believe they made my home out of wood and paper and plastic . Look how my front room just catches light when i short out all the plug sockets and drape my curtains over them !!! Trading standards must surely be contacted as my furniture has ignited.
In all seriousness….this bloke must be mentally challengednomadPaul

I’m guessing this may be the half moon element on the under counter double oven ? If it is , how did you access the screw behind the fan blade ? If its not this model , then i’d still check that the fan blade is on properly

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS45C02GB/02
Most prob impellor jug faults – Part no:424099…..However , the reported fault is normally a constant fill/drain/fill/drain cycle on start up with the check water light appearing after approx 10-15 secs .

Does the timer countdown ? If so , its more than likely the door lock – part no: 171217 (sorry Martin , i think the lock number you stated is the lower base panel lock 🙂 )

Even assuming it never went up, £168 per year is £1,680 over 10 years. If you are 20 and in your first house and you buy into this fear-purchase and live until 70 – needing a washing machine all that time – then over the next 50 years – not taking into account the definite price increases over that time – you will have spent £8,400 just in order to have a working washing machine.
Andy , the £168 odd is for the first year only , After that it reverts to whatever the usual year long cover costs…..approx £80/£90 as far as i remember . Not being picky , just pointing out the difference.nomadPaul

ParticipantRe: Door seals Bosch KGV28323GB/02
I have a feeling the door seal on this model is actually part of the door itself and can’t be ordered seperately.
