    Re: Bosch dishwasher noise

The most likely cause is the circulating motor seal leaking and this has allowed water into the motor bearings causing corrosion to build up . The noise will have gradually got worse , from a higher pitched whining to an almost grinding noise . The best fix is a replacement of motor and sealing kit . If you paid for the call out and parts as a one off payment from BSH , you’d be looking at a bill of approx £250 so the repaircare policy ( or repair+1 as it was ) could be a good choice especially as you then have another 12 months cover afterwards……although this doesn’t include accidental damage , only mechanical and electrical breakdown.

Wilf , also works on Bosch/Siemens/Neff appliances that might have had motor/brushes problems and show error codes F21 or F43 .

Can’t find that model number Lawrence but i have had a similar fault and it turned out to be the selector switch – i was playing with the selector switch and it jumped from one cycle to the next one even though it hadn’t actually turned on to it. Fitted new selector switch which seemed to fix it…..but without a model number . can’t be sure if yours has the same type of selector.

Martin , its a Dom & Gen plan . Not sneaky in anyway as everything is explained upfront with the customer . There is an upper limit on the first visit of £250 so anything more than that and the policy is cancelled…..and the customer doesn’t get charged a penny.
As with any repair , its almost pot luck as to the cost of the initial fault .

Re: Bosch SPAM SGS45CO2GB not draining

The pump will probably fail again as the ‘yellow string’ you can see is 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure to be a rear motor impellor seal. Was it more like an elastic band ?

If your appliance has the grey plastic base tub then to access the drain pump requires the machine to be laid on its back and then the removal of a metal base plate . Once this is off , all the working parts of the dishwasher will be revealed . The pump is a ‘twist’ fit and isn’t too bad a DIY job if i requires replacing.

Ensure you power off , switch off water supply and remove as much water from inside the tub as possible before laying the appliance down if you intend working on it .

If i get a lot of noise , i always run the machine on a couple of empty high speed spins to help the brushes bed in . Sounds like you’ve inadvertently done exactly this .

If its definitely the rinse light , then i think thats a water intake issue . Possibly no or too long to fill ?

Its the childlock symbol flashing ! Try holding the start button down for 5 seconds and i bet the key disappears and the appliance starts up ok !

Clicon , the ‘jubilee clip’ is the easy part as the new heater box comes with a screw jubilee clip as part of the kit…..Getting to and removing the complete heater box is the tricky bit !!!

Try it on a drain cycle only and see if the noise is still apparent . It may be a very noisy pump.

The front button is not available as a part on its own but the complete control button part number for the RHS is 601913 i think. LHS is 601912

HOWEVER , its worth noting that although i’ve never changed one personally , it looks like a bit of a complicated and fiddly job . It seems you can remove the button cover from the new one maybe to fit it on the original switch but the whole unit does cost approx £25+VAT

Re: Any tips for doing a bearing change on a Bosch WVD24520/

Trusted , your model is NOTHING like that one !! For a start its a washer dryer and will have a metal outer tub and an external bearing cross .

Re: Bosch Microwave Fault Code H95

H95 means inverter communication breakdown –

1st thing to do , as its simple and quite common , is to check that the door switches support hasn’t slipped out of position and all the door switches are ok . Does the appliance shut down/reset after 3 secs ?
