    Re: Front Panel removal

Before you do this ,and if you havn’t done it already , run your hand all over the inside of the drum. A lot of times , the end of the bra wire may still be poking through a hole in the drum and its possible to pull it out using pliers !

    Just a thought….

    Re: bosch oven fault

It’ll be a Siemens Technik , not a Bosch but there is normally a temp switch connected to the lamp assy itself that is used for the ‘lagging’ of the cooling fan. More than likely this has shorted causing the continual running of the fan.

The dishwasher fault is prob the impellor jug ( flow rate meter ) If it fills/drains almost constantly from start up , then thats 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} the fault – part no: 424099

Oh , and its always worth checking the ribbed fill hose between the pressure chamber and sump for blockages/gunge build up

E:15 is a ‘cooker too hot’ error . Did it occur during a pyrolytic cleaning cycle ? And have you tried swtching it off at the mains for a few minutes ?

“Fill it with water , above the line of the seal to test its watertight” …………But don’t worry about the sump hose and heater element holes hahaha !!!!

Hope my bosses don’t see this or i won’t be allowed any extra time to do the next one i’m booked for 😆 😆

With the back panel off and both motor fixing bolts removed , the motor will just pull off towards the rear . You might need to support the motor slighlty to ensure it pulls off square though .

Re: Bosch dishwasher – faulty on/off switch?

IIRC , i think you’ll find on this on/off switch that contacts 1 & 2 will only make when the door is actually closed . Does it have a bar between the switch and the door lock ? If you can reach the contacts with the switch in situ , then test it again with the door closed ….POWER OFF OF COURSE.

If the evaporator is iced up , chances are it’ll be iced up all the way to the back so a full 48hr defrost really is the only way to fully clear it and to allow a better examination/test .

Steve , a faulty diverter motor ( or water point motor as its called ) can also blow a triac on the control module . You say you’ve had the board repaired ? I would remove the board and examine the microchips carefully. You might find the top or corner of one ‘blown-off’ . If so , then it will need a new control module too 🙁

If its ‘drying’ and ‘end’ led’s flashing , then thats a “not -heating” fault . The appliance isn’t seeing a rise in temperature after program start . I’d be double checking the temp limiter and heater element .

Normally iced over evaporator caaused by door being left open is a common problem on these. It might be a pain but a full defrost is always first course of action.
Can you see icy snow through the grills in the top of the freezer ?

If the problem the re-surfaces , next focus point would be checking for an open circuit defrost heater . Unfortunately , its not the easiest thing to get to but basically the front grill unclips and this exposes the connectors for NTC , thermal fuse and defrost heater……but these can’t be accessed if the evaporator is frozen over .
