You could check the voltage at the elements in case there is a high resistance somewhere between the consumer unit and the elements. I once went to a luke warm electric shower and measured 180 volts at the element.

Try C00066518. They do come with either 2 spades or a 2 pin plug but you can either re-use the original solenoids or fit spade terminals if required. I know they are mostly out of stock, I suppose theres been a run on them! I managed to find a secondhand one for a similar frost repair job.

I have (or should I say had) a box profile metal shed for storing appliances taken for spares / recon. It was of very flimsy construction but I thought the roof seemed more sturdy than the sides. Obviously not sturdy enough to carry a foot of snow though:

No, actually I paid less than Bennetts, at £194.45 :

I ordered a new TV from a n online firm called Tribal UK on 29th Dec. They have sent it with a mob called UK Mail. Still not received it so I just tried their online tracking:

I’m not quite sure what you are saying about the pressure switch. When you say “continuity” do you mean a short circuit as measured on a multimeter? The usual way to test pressure switch operation is using a piece of tube attached and blowing down it to hear the clicks. If you also connect your meter to the terminals you can check the making and breaking of contacts. This is not entirely foolproof though as burnt contacts may appear as a short when passing the tiny current of the multimeter but this may break down under load. I take it you have checked for blockage in the pressure vessel?
Obviously you need the machine unplugged from the mains for the above resistance checks

Yes, you do need a new pump:

    Re: whirlpool w/m door seal

I would suggest it’s not worth trying to do recon. Whirlpool machines unless you have plenty of similar examples to break for spares. If you offer any kind of warranty any profit will be wiped out if it fails and needs a timer, motor, drum spider etc.

I suppose we are a bit behind the times up here in darkest Banffshire but I think most of my elderly customers don’t use mobile phones. Admittedly most of those also don’t own computers but there are thousands like me who can’t get a signal in their homes.

I fitted the new type door latch kit but customer says door still keeps opening by itself. Any suggestions (ones not involving skips, rubbish dumps etc. preferred)?

Remove the dispenser and give the water holes in the roof of the dispenser housing a good scrub with an old toothbrush and hot soapy water. If this does not do the trick you could consider changing from powder to tablets you can put in the drum. One of the drawbacks of the modern cold fill only machines is that powder is not dissolved so easily by cold water.

Another thing to check is any thermal fuses or TOCs. Sometimes there is such a device near the top of the oven to protect the controls from overheating.

I don’t know about that model but I know you don’t need to do anything with the more basic board used on machines like my WF540. You can even add or remove rotary controls to suit as they just clip onto the pcb.

Re: Bosch WFF2001 – replacement pump?

You do sometimes get a lazy pump that works sometimes and not always but you need to check the plumbing before and after the pump for blockages. If the drain hose plugs onto a conical fitting on the sink trap you should start by checking that for blockage. Similarly there could be a sock or something caught in the hose from the tub to the pump / filter housing.
