Re: Bosch WFF2001 – replacement pump?

If you take off the filter cap you should be able to see the pump impeller. If you then select a drain programme you can observe if it turns. If it can be turned readily by hand but won’t turn by itself you can then remove the cabinet front and check the resistance of the pump motor windings. If the windings are burnt out you get infinity ohms, if OK expect about 100 ohms. As usual, unplug machine before removing panels.

Have you checked the terminal block where the mains cable connects to the oven? Sometimes you get a terminal burnt out there if the wiring was not secure.

If the timer has failed you may be able to get it repaired by these people:

    Re: snowed in !!!

Yes, Bulgaria gets a lot of snow but even a poor country like that has much better systems for keeping the roads open than we have here. Snow is simply not accepted as an excuse for not getting to work.

    Re: Snow….

Yes, they are a menace those snowploughs. They chuck the snow off the road to their left, thus producing a wall off snow preventing anyone getting onto the road. Every time one goes past my place I have to go out with the shovel again before I can drive anywhere 😈

    Re: Snow….

Yes, it’s getting bad here. We still have snow from before Christmas so each fresh fall just adds extra depth. I have to go across the car park of the hotel next door to get to the road but the hotel has closed down so mine is the only vehicle using it. Most of it is now about 10″ deep but I try to keep a bit cleared to get in and out.

I wish they did still come with the panel. They are so fragile I’m always worried I will break the mica strips when fitting the heater. I don’t know why they had to change to this pathetic and expensive type of heater. 👿

Sorry, didn’t know as I don’t deal with Qualtex so my mixing and matching is with secondhand parts. 😳

I always use the original tacho magnet as they do vary.

    Re: Flooded

My house and contents insurance is due this month. As I am evidently not adequately covered I just tried GoCompare.com to see if I could find something more suitable to my circumstances. The form asks if I’ve ever been flooded, to which I have to answer yes. I ended up with only one quote, for £537. All the other firms declined to quote, half of them because of the flooding, the rest because I use the property for business use. Looks like I had better just pay the renewal of £174. :rolls:

I assume it’s the RCD that trips? You could try removing the switch from the panel to isolate its metal parts from earth and see if it still trips. You can do the same with the thermostat but you would have to also isolate the capillary and probe. Have you ruled out the microswitch? I know they are plastic but some have metal rivets which may touch earthed metalwork.

You don’t say what was wrong with the old rear half. If it was just bearings could you not just fit a new bearing kit?
