ParticipantRe: WHIRLPOOL 3RLEQ8000KQ2 Yankee top loader
Thanks Ally,
Gave me a bit of a fright but reading up some posts looks easier than I originally thought of a gearbox.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool spares – what a joke?
I had another AWM 4505 bearings go a couple of weeks out of guarantee. The customer ‘Phoned to be fobbed off so she emailed customer service who replied that they give a two year g’tee on major parts and would be doing it FOC. Yep, I was happy as I had sold it to her. Get your customers to try it.

ParticipantRe: I hate Connects new return system
I never have a problem. A ‘phone call or email and it’s picked up within a day or two. I just don’t like some of their prices.

ParticipantRe: Miele W863 “rinse light flashing”
Thanks Mal,
I tested continuity on the motor and all were ok, even the brushes. I think it must come out to check the brushes visually. I was stuck for time on the first visit.

Anyone???
I am loath to chance buying these bushes (£40.65 each..Connect) £28 gen pair off ebay but if no answers then I’ll take a chance.

PS. Customer says the check inlet has always been on since newrobbra
ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
If someone else says “I think it’s the BUSHES” or”my neighbour thinks it’s the BUSHES” I’ll bloody strangle them. 😈 :rolls: 😆

Did you have any luck with this Mike?

ParticipantRe: Miele W863 “rinse light flashing”
Ok Ok it’s an old thread.
I have one of these Nr.00/49269447 No motor action.
Rinse light flashing. Checked brushes for continuity, fine, but didn’t drag the motor out 😳
Also the inlet check light on although plenty of pressure and fills fast.
Questions
1, is this likely to be the brushes just worn too much? Can they be changed with the motor in situ? What’s the part no. as connect don’t list this model?
1, is the inlet check probably a blocked pressure pot or are the two problems together a bit more sinister?
Thanks in advance

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDC32
Thanks George,
It probably would have worked but had ordered 5 off eBay for £4.19 so will have some to spare 😆

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDC32
Thanks Jim,
Had a look and have to agree. Tried for some time to get a switch but next is RS, see what they have.
Makers Otehall haven’t got a website as far as I can make out.
Thanks again…as always

ParticipantRe: A small tip
Same on the Hoover version. I have tried Connect “alternative” and also swapping the restrictor with consequent hose splits but now will only fit genuine. Ok a bit more expensive but no problems.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWO/D4505 tub UPDATE ***2 year guarantee***
Customer rang Whirlpool and they were no help so she emailed customer service who responded that there was a 2 year guarantee on their machines (news to me) and they would replace the drum for her 😆
She still won’t buy any more Whirlpool products but this news may be of help to others on here.
A happy Robrobbra
ParticipantRe: servis m9503s
Hi,
the reason for burning is poor contact with the type of tags used. The old type AMP tags are the best replacement and I’ve done it many times. I would think the surge is due to the module but the only way to prove it is a replacement from EMW who will be pleased to receive the old burnt one.

No good for me as half the time I don’t know where I am anyway. 😉

ParticipantRe: BSH appliance care
Same here,
ordered a motor Wednesday and normally get things next day. Rang Friday to be told we can’t tell if it has been sent just by the order number…what???
They need my account number which I haven’t got because I pay by c/card each time. Still not arrived and £250 job in the balance as it’s a B&B. Better arrive Monday or I’ll order from Connect and send it back.
A bit of a shambles 😈 -
