    Re: Remove backpanel liebherr fridge

Without the model number we can only give general advice.

Most LIEBHERR fridge freezers F2 faults is a faulty fridge evaporator sensor.

The sensor cover on most is held by a screw on the left hand side, it is normaly a torq screw and needs a torq fitting to unscrew it, a normal screwdriver will not fit.

Some models have a foamed in sensor so you then need an adaptor kit this includes the sensor and a new rear cover for the sensor.

If it is just a fridge then it is by the veg boxes. ( Pull the veg boxes out to look. )

If it is a fridge freezer it should be on a label inside the fridge or by the veg boxes or in the freezer behind the bottom drawer.

The fans only work if the doors are closed.

I agree you can always repair Samsungs it would be rare to have to write them off Except RSH 1 models with burnt and split liners but this could still be repaired although not Ideal.

It just comes down to if it is economical to repair them.

If the samsung was secondhand then it may not be worth spending the money repairing it.

If the compressor cuts out after 15 seconds on a Samsung then it will be the compressor.

If you want to double check turn of the appliance for a couple of hours then the pressure will drop in the system even if it has a blockage.

If it starts up and runs for 1 to 2 minutes before it cuts out then it has a blockage.

If it buzzes and cuts out after 15 seconds then it will be the compressor seized.

I am F gas registered and have worked on Samsung fridge freezers since they were introduced into the country so I am 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it will be the compressor seized as it would have been working to hard if the system was blocked.

No if the compressor clicks on for 15 seconds it is tripping out on the thermal overload so the compressor will be seized and needs replacing.

The Dawoo American style give very few problems.

Bosch / Siemans American are Daewoo but 4 times the price.

So they must be confident of the quality and it is not very often I get calls for the Daewoo or Bosch / Siemans and the only faults I have had have been for an internal fan motor.

If I was buying an American Fridge Freezer the Dawoo or a Beko would be my choice as if you get any problems spares are cheap and easy to get.

Don’t be fooled by some manufacturers 10 year warranty on there compressors as it is only the compressors covered and everything else is only covered for 1 or 2 years.

Anyone having problems with payments still as I have still got problems with payments.

I sent an e-mail of outstanding payments and incorrect payments 10 days ago but still received no payment or reply to the e-Mail.

First 4 are on linked in asking for engineers saying payment within 7 days for jobs but this is not happening.

When they started off just over a year ago payments were paid on time but over the last 3 months this has not been the case.

It is not a cheap or DIY job to replace a compressor, plus if you have oil in the system if the compressor is replaced you run the risk of internal blockages.

With out testing it is hard to tell.

The most likely fault is the freezer fan motor.

If you open the freezer door when the fridge freezer is running. Then press and hold the light switch, after 30 to 60 seconds you should here the fan motor start if it does not then it is most likely the fan faulty.

You can check the fridge fan motor the same way by opening the fridge door but make sure you only have one door open at a time when checking.

Re: Can’t find the fridge drain!

The drain is behind the rear panel in the freezer, You may not have defrosted it enough.

The drain runs through the insulation so can take up to 48 hours to defrost unless you dismantle the rear panel and use a steamer.

The best way to defrost it is to get someone to look after your food and turn it off for 48 hours and leave the doors open.

The drain ices because the NRV above the compressor can stick then the water can not run away and freezes in the drain.

The Bosch Siemens Amrican Style fridge freezer is made by Daewoo so see if you can find a Daewoo as it will be a lot cheaper.

If you are after all the same make and do not want to spend a fortune then I would go for the Beko.

Not the best but reasonably reliable and cheap for spares.

Re: samsung rsh1dbmh1/xue fan error and ice build up

To remove the rear panel when it is iced up use a wallpaper steamer to defrost it.

Where did you fit the sensor in the fridge as it should fit to the left on the last place to defrost on the pipes to the evaporator,

The original was fitted to the right on the evaporator.

Also there is a mod of 2 pieces of plastic you can fit to the top left and top right of the cover this increases the defrost temperature.
