ParticipantRe: Indesit Washing Machine explodes!!!
Thought Hotpoint ? Indesit were supposed to be appliance manufacturers. Maybe they should give up on appliances & go into the demolition game instead, they certainly seem to be better at that. Just glad the O/Ps wife & baby were’nt hurt, Just wonder how long before someone is seriously injured?.

ParticipantRe: Beko Frost Free Freezer
Hi Samuri: Cheers for the reply mate, went there this morning & the Freezer is doing it’s thing & back down to Minus 12 inside. It’s kept in an outside shed along with the Washing Machine & Dryer and no heat, when i got there they had a pipe leak in the shed. So with water everywhere I decided to leave it & told them to let me know what happens over the next few days.

Hi: The best idea would be to leave it to dry out for a few days before trying it again, if you strip the panel out to get at the controls you could cause more problems. Alternatively take a look at the repairs@ feature on this web site to find an Engineer local to you.

From past experience it’s something I test on any Zan machine, takes a few seconds but can often save some headscratching.

Hi: Rather than the expense of a new machine, why not try the repairs@ feature for an Engineer local to you? it could save you quite a bit of money.

When you say nothing happens, do you get any indicator lights coming on? i.e to tell you that power is on & that the door is closed. Also could you give us some idea of what the Original complaint was with the machine?

Hey Scott: Take a close look at the motor wiring harness to make sure that the insulation is’nt chafed through anywhere & shorting to the chassis.

Hi Dave sorry to hear about your friend mate, hope he recovers. You are right though, when self employed it can be a cold / lonely place.

You could allways offer them a Fiver for it for bits, then at least you’d know.
